Digital Monster COLOR
The Digital Monster COLOR (デジタルモンスターCOLOR Dejitaru Monsutā Karā) is the remake, colored-version of Digital Monster series, the very first series of the Digimon Virtual Pet line. It has a roster of maximum 20 Digimon and simple functions, behaving like a battling Tamagotchi. It evolves through 6 stages after hatching from the Digimon egg, Digitama, beginning with the Baby I Stage and ending in the Ultimate Stage. Unlike its predecessor, it has a faster training speed and re-enhanced user support functions, such as Cold Mode and Backup System. Additionally, it also has a rechargeable battery and can be charged by using the USB Type-C.

Special Features[edit]
The Digital Monster COLOR Digimon Xros Wars 15th Edition have the special feature of "Mode Changes". While battling, certain Digimon can Mode Change to special forms during their attack animation by fulfilling certain conditions. They return back to their normal state after the battle. It features Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode, Arresterdramon: Superior Mode, Arresterdramon: Superior Mode (Brave Snatcher) and Armamon: Burst Mode.

- The Digimon Card Game features a number of cards based on this particular series of devices, categorized as such with the (DM) Digital Monster trait. Various cards based on each particular version have additional traits, including Ver.1, Ver.2, Ver.3, Ver.4, and Ver.5 traits.
