Digimon Adventure: Anode Tamer (デジモンアドベンチャー アノードテイマー, Dejimon Adobenchā Anōdo Teimā) is a video game.

At the very tail end of 1999, something very peculiar happened. At some point, Chimairamon and Mugendramon fused together in order to survive, resulting in Millenniumon. Millenniumon then imprisoned the Chosen Children, generated a time slip that resurrected many of the infamous evil Digimon from Digimon Adventure.

Agumon escaped with Taichi's Digivice and tried to send it to different children. On New Year's Eve, he finally found a child willing to take up the Digivice and help him save Taichi and the others: an eleven year old boy with no Digimon partner or Digivice of his own, named Akiyama Ryo. With the guidance of Gennai, Ryo and Agumon have to chip away Millenniumon's power by defeating those evil Digimon once again and later Millenniumon for good.

Using Taichi's Digivice, Ryo can tame wild Digimon and have them fight in battle for him. Due the the limited power in the Digivice, Ryo is unable to evolve any Digimon. However, if certain Digimon group are paired up during battle, they can learn Variable Techniques (ヴァリアブルわざ), a technique that temporarily evolve into a certain Digimon and using their respective signature technique to damage the enemies regardless of its position or assist the allies.

Utilizing three different fields (Land, Ocean and Sky), Digimon can move across various dungeons, usually being several floors. Ryo may have two ways to attack near the enemy, either with physical attack or occasionally using a special technique. During the battle, the allied Digimon may unable to do any action properly while hungry or pooping, so they have to eat meat and go to the toilet, respectively.
