Appearances[edit]
Anime[edit]
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
In "Today Miyako is in Kyoto", a Musyamon appears in Kyoto due to a dimensional distortion tied to Black War Greymon. Inoue Miyako (who is visiting on a school field trip at the time) faces it with the assistance of Kido Shuu and Takenouchi Haruhiko, and after a brief rooftop duel, Shurimon subdues it and throws it into a Digital Gate that Miyako opens on Haruhiko's laptop, sending it back to the Digital World.
Digimon Tamers[edit]
As seen in a flashback in "The Meaning of Partner - Renamon Evolves!", a Musyamon was among the many Digimon who attempted to solicit Makino Ruki to be their Tamer following her victory in the D-1 Grand Prix. It, along with the others, disappeared when Renamon appeared in response to Ruki's wish for a "truly strong Digimon".
In "Shinjuku Ō-Guard - The 1½ min. Showdown!", a Musyamon attempts to Realizes twice and becomes a test subject for Hypnos's Yuggoth system. The first time, Yuggoth seemingly succeeds in destroying it and dissipating its Digital Field, but the Hypnos staff hear its voice threatening vengeance upon them.
It later reappears in the network and, after destroying the Yuggoth tracker sent after it, succeeds in Realizing at the Shinjuku Ō-Guard crossing, and begins attacking cars and expressing its loathing of humanity. Matsuda Takato and Guilmon take it on, but Guilmon struggles against it due to Takato's poorly-thought-out card combos. When a young girl wanders into Musyamon's Digital Field, Musyamon attempts to kill her, but Lee Jianliang and Terriermon intervene to protect her. Terriermon evolves into Galgomon and destroys and loads Musyamon, although Jianliang continues to be troubled by its animosity toward humans.
Digimon Xros Wars[edit]
Musyamon is a commander in the Bagra Army who leads the occupation of Shinobi Zone and is holding its princess, Babamon, hostage. He has a short temper and threatens his subordinates with violence if they fail him, but remarks that he himself is under threat from Blastmon if he fails to get Shinobi Zone's Code Crown in a timely manner. He also loves jidaigeki films, which he watches while occupying Shinobi Zone's Monita Palace.
In "Shinobi Zone, The Comical Ninja Battle!", Musyamon is extorting Shinobi Zone's Monitamon population to surrender the Code Crown in exchange for the release of Babamon. The Monitamon elder bribes his agent, Shurimon, with a jidaigeki film DVD to buy one more day to get the Code Crown, which Musyamon begrudgingly accepts despite the pressure that he is under from Blastmon.
In "Leftover Monitamons, Hang in There!", Musyamon has grown tired of waiting for the Code Crown, and commands a night assault on the Monitamon village to take it by force. In response, Tsurugi Zenjirou, Dorulumon and three "dunce" red Monitamons infiltrate Monita Palace to rescue Babamon, but when Zenjirou arrives, Musyamon is already waiting for him. Zenjirou attempts to take on Musyamon with the Rare Star Sword and the assistance of the red Monitamons, but Musyamon is not impressed, and knocks Zenjirou off his feet. He attempts to kill the Monitamons, but is stopped when Amano Nene and Sparrowmon arrive and crash into him.
Nene DigiXrosses the red Monitamons into Hi-Vision Monitamon, who blasts Musyamon out of the Monita Palace for Kudou Taiki to finish off. Taiki forms Shoutmon X5 to confront Musyamon, but Shoutmon X5 initially struggles against Musyamon's swordsmanship and is trapped in a net by Musyamon's surviving retainers, but before Musyamon can finish him off with Kirisute Gomen, however, Hi-Vision Monitamon intervenes to subdue Musyamon with Raidenjin and free Shoutmon X5 from the net. Musyamon is left open for Shoutmon X5's Meteor Buster Attack, which destroys him.
Digimon Adventure:[edit]
In "The Gold Wolf of the Crescent Moon", in his first dream about Cres Garurumon fighting Zanbamon in the distant past, Gabumon sees a band of Musyamon confronting Cres Garurumon.
Digimon Ghost Game[edit]
Musyamon is an old rival of Zubamon's, who once defeated him and inflicted a scar on his face. When he was transported to the Real World, he was inadvertently fused into his Shiratori-maru. In order to regenerate his body, the Shiratori-maru possesses Digimon who take it up, and compels them to attack and absorb humans into itself. The Shiratori-maru passes through a series of Digimon hosts, who are unable to let go of it; the blade slowly saps their life force to fuel Musyamon's regeneration and, when the time comes, compels them to force another Digimon to take it up before being absorbed into the blade entirely themselves.
In "Killer Blade", rumors of the cursed sword reach Angoramon via Reppamon. He tracks down its current host, a Hanumon (who had recently taken it from its last host, a Goburimon) and, while attempting to wrest the Shiratori-maru from Hanumon, inadvertently becomes its next host. Angoramon struggles not to let it dominate him and, within his mind, argues with Musyamon's spirit, but is eventually fully controlled by it as well.
When Tsukiyono Ruli and Amanokawa Hiro track Angoramon to Shinsouji, the Shiratori-maru lands a blow on Kaus Gammamon that drains his power and enables Musyamon's body to be fully restored, releasing Angoramon from possession. Angoramon (evolving into Symbare Angoramon) takes on Musyamon, but struggles against him until Zubamon arrives and allows Symbare Angoramon to wield his weapon form, with which he breaks the Shiratori-maru and releases all of the absorbed humans. Musyamon concedes defeat, but Zubamon spares him, and Black Tailmon Uver. takes Musyamon away.

Musyamon is an unobtainable enemy Digimon. There are two variants of it: one with its usual red color scheme, and one with green armor. The two versions are largely similar, except that the green Musyamon has slightly more speed and gives slightly more EXP, the red Musyamon's regular attack is Dark elemental instead of neutral, and the green Musyamon can use the Dark Matter technique.
The red Musyamon appears in the Asuka Server version of the Jungle Boneyard (while Zanbamon is present) and the Catacomb. The green Musyamon appears in the Bug Maze and the Bug Maze Bottom.
Musyamon also appears as a card for Card Battles. Enemy decks that use its card include Tamer Mei Lin's LV20 Occult Folder (#2), a Trooper's LV37 Brown Program Folder (#1) , and an Etemon's LV60 Amaterasu's Black Master (#1) .
