A Ghost Digimon constructed from a cursed virus program. As it was a Bakemon that took in data of mages that appear in fantasy stories, the black hat it wears raises its magical power. Because of that, its attacks that make use of curses or magic are tremendously powerful. Its Special Move is releasing the souls of the dead upon the enemy (Necro Magic).

Appearances[edit]

Anime[edit]

Digimon Frontier[edit]

Digimon Savers[edit]

A Soulmon appears in the Real World and reacts to Daimon Chika's feelings of Wrath towards her brother. It causes Daimon Masaru to trip over, fall over some chopsticks (Chika wished he would fall off a bridge), and finally tried to crash a boat into him. It was defeated by Geo Greymon after Masaru sprayed it with paint to turn it visible.

Digimon Adventure:[edit]

In "Hikari, New Life", a group of Soulmon attacked the forest created by Petaldramon. They hated life, and absorbed the Digitama's energy so they would not be born. Yagami Hikari and Tailmon tried to destroy as many as they could to protect the Digitama, and ultimately they were all destroyed by Angewomon as she channelled Ofanimon's energy and returned to Digitama themselves.

Manga[edit]

Digimon Liberator[edit]

Soulmon is the Partner Digimon of Violet Inboots. During her fight against an Imperialdramon copy in "OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 1)", Violet evolved her Ghostmon into BT20-067 Soulmon, then BT20-072 Fantomon, and finally BT20-079 Necromon.

After Necromon was deleted by its own effect, Soulmon returned to the field thanks to Fantomon's inherited effect. Soulmon's When Played effect then gave Fantomon Retaliation.

  1. 1.0 1.1 Violet Inboots evolved her Partner Digimon, Ghostmon, from Ghostmon into BT20-067 Soulmon then BT20-072 Fantomon in "OVERWRITE BLACK (Part 1)". Ghostmon's normal evolution line uses Bakemon rather than Soulmon.
  2. In Digimon World, several Digimon, including a Soulmon were each transformed into a Mugendramon.
