Digimon Xros Arena (デジモンクロスアリーナ, Dejimon Kurosu Arīna) is a video game.
Overview[edit]
The Digimon Xros Arena, stylized as Digimon X Arena, is a home console battle machine that uses Augmented Reality (AR) technology and is compatible with the Digimon Xros Loader. It is the home version of the Digimon X Arena arcade game.
Description[edit]
The game takes place in the Digimon Xros Tower, where players raise Digimon and clear battle quests by physically moving their hands over the AR Battle Plates, which are tracked by the console's camera. Two players can play together using the included pair of Battle Plates.
The Xros Tower consists of several areas:
- 1F – Entrance: Summon Digimon and begin Battle Quests.
- 2F – Item Center: Scan QR and AR Codes to obtain Digimon and items.
- 3F – Game Center: Play minigames to earn items and take commemorative photos with Digimon.
- 4F – Data Center: View information about collected Digimon.
- 5F – X Arena: Battle against another player using raised Digimon.
- 6F–15F – Battle Quest: Complete over 50 quests while progressing through the tower.
- Top Floor: Unlock the tower's final Digimon.
In addition to the Digimon Xros Loader, the console supports QR Codes and AR Codes. By scanning the QR Codes printed on the back of Digimon Xros Archive and Super Digica Taisen cards, players can obtain new Digimon and items. It can also communicate with the Digimon Xros Loader via infrared, allowing Digimon raised on the Xros Loader to be summoned into the game.
The game includes over 200 Digimon, with more than 50 being playable in battle. Non-playable Digimon obtained through scanning or gameplay are registered as Digimon Medals. The game also features over 50 Battle Quests, a Digimon viewer, a photo mode, a Data Center, and local two-player battles.
