Digimon Xros Wars Super Digica Taisen
"Digimon Cross Wars The Great Super Digica Battle") is the third Digimon card game. From the 5th Set onwards, it was renewed to Digimon Xros Wars Super Digica Taisen General Strikers Shoutmon and Dondokomon act as the navigators of the arcade version. The game worked in tandem with the Digimon X Arena. The service terminated with the 7th Set.
Overview[edit]
First, the player is presented with the option of playing alone, playing against two other players, or purchasing cards (if the player chooses to only purchase cards, the game ends on the spot). Next, the player selects a "General (commander)," which is the player's alter ego. The D-skills of the soldier digimon differ depending on the general. Next, the stage is selected. The strength of the enemies varies depending on the stage, and the difficulty level is indicated for each. The player wins by defeating the enemy, advancing (increasing the rate of control), and annihilating the enemy.
From the 3rd version onward, DigiMemory cards are also available, which can activate the special effects of legendary Digimon when scanned.
Ver. 1~4[edit]
The "Hidari," "Mannaka," and "Migi" Digimon are placed. At that time, a card scan can be performed. If there are not enough cards, the Digimon indicated in the ticker, such as Shoutmon and Agumon, can be sent into battle. Each turn, the player selects a Digimon to fight the enemy forces, and the battle begins.
In the realm of rock-paper-scissors, they attack or take damage depending on whether they win or lose. Attacks differ depending on the move, such as goo (counterattack stance, intercept stance), choki (attack stance, assault stance), and par (quick attack stance, fierce attack stance).
Ver. 5~7[edit]
The first General command is selected to increase attack, defense, or hit. The number of increase depends on the General's ability. If a DigiMemory card has been scanned, the command will appear and can be activated by selecting it.
Next, select the Digimon command. Previously, one Digimon was selected per turn to attack, but starting with the 5th round, the method has been changed to give instructions to all Digimon in one turn. The only commands that can be selected are those chosen by the General command or the attributes of the Digimon. If the Digimon has the same attribute as the General Command, only one attribute can be selected, making it easy for the opponent to read your move, but if you win the rock-paper-scissors battle, you can trigger a critical hit command chance that will seal off your opponent's counterattack.
Gameplay[edit]
Terminology[edit]
Possible with certain Digimon. Combine them to form various Digimon. DigiXros combinations are written on the back of Digimon cards that can be Digixrossed. Doing so greatly increases the gauge.
- DigiSoul Gauge 「
When the gauge is built up by taking damage or being attacked (when maxed out, a special move command is added to the command screen, and if selected, the attack with the special move takes precedence over any other moves from the opponent), and power is built up by turning Dondokomon when activating special moves, the "Digi Blast" is activated. When Dondocomon's power is maxed out, it launches a special move called "DigiStorm," which attacks all enemy Digimon. Even if both DigiBlast and DigiStorm are activated by the same Digimon, it is treated as an "Aiko Battle".
- Aiko Battle 「
If both Digimon have the same move (Aiko) when the command is selected, the command selection starts again, and if it is Aiko again, the battle becomes a final Aiko battle, and the Digimon force with the higher status gauge attacks. From the 5th version onward, once the battle has been aiiko-ed, the "Aiko Battle" will immediately take place.
- D-Skill 「D
A Digimon's special ability that activates a unique effect during battle. There are six types: Fire, Light, Wind, Water, Earth, and Darkness.
- Interception Damage 「
When attacked by a special move, it can also damage other enemy Digimon forces. From the 5th version onward, damage is dealt to the "total HP", which is the HP of all Digimon added together, regardless of the overall normal attack.
- Combo 「
This combo is triggered when Digimon with the same rock-paper-scissors attribute are present. Damage is added to the attack.
- D-Link 「D
Activated when a specific general is selected and scanned, increasing its ability.
