Digimon World: Digital Card Arena[edit]
Garurumon is the Battle Master of Igloo City's Battle Arena. When the player arrives, he's in a feral state due to the Digimon Kaiser and Stingmon, incapable of conversation beyond growling. Upon being defeated, he regains the ability to talk, but enters a panic state, screaming at the player that someone's there and the player must get them out of the Arena, the someone in question being Stingmon. After beating Stingmon, Garurumon can be talked to in the Battle Café, where he explains that he fell under the Digimon Kaiser's control, then asks the player to battle him again for the Passcode to Junk City, which he gives upon defeat, then he reopens the Battle Arena with himself as its Master. Garurumon uses the Counterattack Fang deck, a Blue/Water deck with 3 in attack, defense and evolution speed, which focuses on counterattacks.
Garurumon reappears as Were Garurumon, the fifth and second-to-last opponent in Sage Tower's first Battle Arena. Upon meeting him, he tells the player that he evolved from Garurumon, and that he had heard what the player did since they fought in Igloo City and knew he'd arrive to Sage Tower someday. Furthermore, he trusts the player to have the skills to beat him and continue on. Were Garurumon plays the Howl to the Moon deck, a Blue/Water deck with 3 attack, 4 defense and 3 evolution speed that focuses on Counter Attacks and Recovery. After clearing Sage Tower's Battle Arena for the first time, the player can obtain a Hacking card by talking to Were Garurumon in Sage Tower's Battle Café.
In the postgame, Metal Garurumon appears in Igloo City's Battle Café after Tachikawa Mimi is defeated in Jungle City's Battle Café. Upon talking to the player, he explains that he evolved from Were Garurumon, that he considers their battle at Sage Tower great and wants a battle like that again, and that he has improved much. However, he's still not a match for his partner, Ishida Yamato, who also appeared in the Battle Café alongside him. Metal Garurumon plays the Shoot Everything deck, a Blue/Ice deck with 4 attack, 4 defense and 3 evolution speed that's very offensive but still well-balanced with lots of HP. After being defeated, Igloo City's third Battle Arena opens, where he serves as Battle Master. After he's defeated there, he accepts he's no longer the player's match, but nonetheless offers to help him if he needs him.
Metal Garurumon later appears as the fifth opponent of Sage Tower's second Battle Arena. Before the first match, he tells the player that he's heard he beat Yamato, which he considers incredible and proof that his power is worthy of respect. However, he adds that he hasn't given up and is always looking for more power, and will keep doing so until he defeats the player, no matter how long or how many tries it takes. Upon being defeated, he wonders if the player's too strong or if he himself needs more training. He considers his defeats a test of endurance and refuses to give up, vowing to keep challenging the player no matter how many times he loses.
As Gabumon's final level, Omegamon appears in Sage Tower's Battle Cafe after Infinity Tower's fourth Battle Arena is cleared. Upon talking to him, he tells the player that he knows everything about him. The player is confused about this, asking if they've met before, which Omegamon confirms, saying that they've met many times before and their battles have always been exciting. However, he then tells the player to forget about the past and meet him at the Arena.
Omegamon is the fifth and last opponent in Sage Tower's third and last Battle Arena. Upon arriving to him for the first time, he tells the player that he's grateful for the opportunity of having a battle like the one that's about to happen, and reveals that he was born from the fusion of War Greymon and Metal Garurumon. He then adds that nothing makes him happier than fighting a strong opponent. Omegamon plays the Blue Star Red Moon deck, a Red/Flame and Blue/Water deck with 4 attack, defense, and evolution speed that features Omegamon. Upon being defeated, he says that winning doesn't matter to him anymore, the quality of the battle is what's important, and they must continue their quest for the ultimate challenge.
If the player talks to Omegamon in the Battle Café after clearing the arena, Omegamon will thank them for helping him reach his current level, and gives him the second Digimental of their third partner as a token of appreciation.
After Infinity Tower's last Battle Arena is cleared, Black Metal Garurumon will open the fourth and last of Igloo City's Battle Arenas. There, Garurumon serves as the first opponent and Metal Garurumon as the second.
