After recruiting Geo Greymon to the Village of Beginnings, Taiga meets Lili and Sebastian in the middle of an argument in the Colosseum. Sebastian thought Lili's love for street fighting and online gaming was unbecoming of her position and threatened to tell her father about it. While Lili was shocked by this, she got immediately distracted by seeing Taiga and gave him the right to challenge her, then left, annoying Sebastian.
After Taiga defeats Lili in the 1st Floor's Free Battle: "A challenge from Lili", Sebastian explains to Taiga that Lili had fun and being allowed to call her that is a sign of affection, before they both leave.
Sebastian suddenly challenges Taiga after beating four battles in the Colosseum 20th floor Free Battle: "The Young Lady's Playmate" (though Taiga is forced into it, without selecting it). He apologised from his earlier rudeness and introduced himself to Taiga, and explained that, even if Lili favoured him, he couldn't allow him, a stranger of unknown background, to engage with her. He then added he entered the game for Lili's sake and would like to fight Taiga to determine if he was a suitable playmate for her. After him and Angemon are defeated, he acknowledges Taiga as Lili's playmate.
Lili and Sebastian suddenly challenge Taiga after beating three battles in the Colosseum 30th floor Free Battle: "Lili and Sebastian" (though Taiga is forced into it, without selecting it). Lili wanted Taiga to fight her newly-evolved Catherine, now a Monzaemon, and wondered how long Digimaru could hold out. Sebastian wondered when she got that Digimon but would do his best to support her nonetheless alongside Holy Angemon. After being defeated, Lili got frustrated, promised not to play with Taiga ever again, then left. Sebastian assured Taiga he had done nothing wrong before following his mistress.
Taiga meets Sebastian again in the VIP Room. He asks him if Lili is angry with him but Sebastian denies it, explaining she's a sore loser and is working on a plan to defeat Taiga. She then smiles, confirming she must've devised something, so Sebastian leaves to register them for a new battle, the 40th floor Free Battle: "Lili's Secret Weapon". After her loss there, Sebastian apologises on her behalf, then they both leave. Taiga can then talk to Sebastian in the VIP Room, where he tells him that Lili has locked herself in her room since then to read. However, after Taiga beats Vitium Ultimate, Sebastian tells him Lili managed to escape the Digitower and asks Taiga, who can move freely in the Digital World, to find her, with a reward of 10000 bits. After finding her in the Dark Area, Sebastian sends Taiga a mail, telling him he feels her close but she isn't in the Colosseum, so she may be in another place humans aren't supposed to reach.
Lili and Sebastian are back together for the 40th floor Free Battle: "Angels and Demons". There, Lili boasted of how she finally obtained a beautiful Digimon worthy of being her Partner who also had "Lili" in its name in Lilithmon. Meanwhile, Sebastian would face Taiga with Seraphimon, which had "Se" in its name. However, their Digimon did not get along, with Lilithmon dissing and threatening Seraphimon, who stoically returned her threats. Lili and Sebastian were unable to stop them, so Lili asked Taiga to do it instead while she watched him do it. After winnning, Lili accepts Taiga as her rival and gives him the evolution data from her and Sebastian's Digivices, unlocking Lilithmon and Seraphimon as evolutions for Digimaru, then goes back to the VIP Room. Sebastian apologises for the fight while hoping Lili learned a lesson from the fight and may become more ladylike.
Sebastian can then be fought alongside Seraphimon on the 40th floor Free Battle: "Anytime you want". This awards Taiga a Golden Angel Wings.
