Before the events of the game, the Chosen Children and their Partner Digimon were kidnapped by Millenniumon.
After Akiyama Ryo defeated Devimon, Izumi Kōshirō, Tachikawa Mimi, Tentomon and Palmon were freed. The Chosen Children then returned to their world, while their Partner Digimon joined Ryo to rescue the others.
Digimon World: Digital Card Arena[edit]
Kabuterimon is the second opponent in Sage Tower's Battle Arena. He instantly considers the player his friend, and says that the player's considered invincible, which made Kabuterimon want to fight him. Kabuterimon plays the Anti-A deck, a Green/Nature deck with 3 attack, defense and evolution speed that's effective against Armor-level Digimon.
After the credits, Atlur Kabuterimon appears in Dark City's Battle Café alongside his partner, Izumi Koshiro, after Kido Jo in Junk City's Battle Café is beaten. He immediately thanks the player for his help at Sage Tower, then points out that everyone's talking about how many battles the player has had and how strong he is, so he wants to battle him too, offering to introduce him to Koshiro if he loses. Atlur Kabuterimon plays the Interception Trap deck, a Blue/Water, Green/Nature and Yellow/Rare deck with 4 attack, 3 defense and 4 evolution speed, that uses Counter combos. Upon being defeated, he accepts that people's praise of the player is true, but tells him not to underestimate Koshiro.
Atlur Kabuterimon later serves as the second opponent of Sage Tower's second and third Battle Arenas. Before their first fight there, he tells the player that War Greymon brought him there, that he wanted to challenge the player again, and that he was told that the player beat Koshiro. Recognizing this as an incredible feat, Atlur Kabuterimon tells the player that he'll fight with all he has. Upon being defeated, he accepts he's no match for the player and wishes he was better, and also realizes how he beat Koshiro, though he isn't particularly interested in winning anyways.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]
Tentomon faces Taiga alongside Izumi Kōshirō in the Colosseum 1st floor Free Battle: "I won't lose to you". However, the arena was empty when Taiga arrived. This was a trap set up by Kōshirō and Tentomon to get the first strike on Taiga. This wasn't enough for them to win, however, with Tentomon left surprised Digimaru survived his Petit Thunder. Kōshirō then left to prepare his next strategy. He evolves into Atlur Kabuterimon for the 1st floor Free Battle: "Quest for Knowledge" and Herakle Kabuterimon for the Heavenly Hall Tournament: "Legendary Digimon Battle".
