Digimon World: Digital Card Arena[edit]
Wormmon is a recurring antagonist in the game. He takes over Battle Arenas, brainwashing their original Battle Masters and taking their place with his different evolved forms. He first appears in Jungle City's Battle Arena, having taken it over from V-dramon, and uses the Tryout Deck, a Green/Nature and Black/Darkness deck with 3 attack, 2 defense and 1 evolution speed, which uses the Wormmon card. Upon being defeated, he worries about Ken being angry at him, then abandons the Arena without giving the player the Passcode.
Wormmon then appears as Stingmon in Igloo City's Battle Arena, having taken it over after brainwashing Garurumon. He seeks a rematch against the player, now using the Black Gale deck, a Black/Darkness deck which has 3 attack, 3 defense and 2 evolution speed and possesses many offensive patterns. After being defeated, he abandons the Arena without giving the Passcode once again, while swearing he'll fight the player again at the next Arena.
Following that, Wormmon Armor Evolves into Shadramon in Junk City's Battle Arena, having stolen the position of Battle Master from Great King Scumon. He tells the player that he will stop him there, not due to the Digimon Kaiser's orders, but due to his own loyalty to Ken. He uses the Demon Blaze deck, a Red/Flame and Black/Darkness Deck with 3 attack, 2 defense and 3 evolution speed, which can cover its own weaknesses. Upon being defeated, he laments his own weakness, before vowing to defeat the player in Dark City's Battle Arena. Nonetheless, it makes the player believe that Wormmon may not be such a bad Digimon after all.
Wormmon appears once again in his Child form in Dark City's Battle Café, where he tells the player that he won't lose in his Battle Arena, which shows his different evolved levels, and even if he did lose, the player has no chance against Ken. In it, Wormmon is the first opponent, having switched his deck to the Somewhat Serious deck, which has 1 more evolution speed but otherwise has the same stats, as an improved version of the Tryout deck. Upon losing, he evolves to Stingmon, facing the player with his upgraded Black Gale Once Again deck, which possesses the same stats as the original Black Gale deck but is much stronger nonetheless. Upon being defeated, he praises the player's skills and admits defeat, then Armor Evolves into Shadramon, vowing to show the player the true power of his Digimental of Courage. He uses the Demon Blaze Revived deck for the match, which has 1 more point in defense from the original, while keeping the same stats otherwise. Despite the similarities however, Demon Blaze Revived is an improved version of Stingmon's Black Gale Once Again, and not of Demon Blaze, according to its description. Upon defeat, he's shocked that he still lacks the power to beat the player, but nonetheless decides to Armor Evolve once again with the Digimental of Light into Coatlmon as his last chance. Immediately after appearing in his new form, he proclaims that the ancient gods have already decided his victory, and tells the player that he's not fighting for Ken anymore, but for himself. As the only form of Wormmon in Dark City's Battle Arena that was not fought before, he's the only one with a single deck, in this case the Evil Wind deck, a Blue/Water and Black/Darkness deck with 3 in attack, defense, and evolution speed which focuses on hitting Specialty weaknesses. Upon defeat, he tells the player that he feels great and has no regrets, before asking Ken for forgiveness and pointing out he will be okay anyways.
After the player clears Dark City's Battle Arena, in the Battle Café, Wormmon thanks him for beating Ken, telling him that Ken is changing his ways and he'll take care of him, before giving the player the Passcode to Pyramid City as well as the second Digimental for his first partner. Afterwards, he reopens the Battle Arena, with his Coatlmon form as the Battle Master. Upon challenging the Battle Arena again, all of Wormmon's forms will have new lines, telling the player how he's learned how to love battles from him and showing a much more optimistic attitude.
Wormmon reappears in his Ultimate form, Gran Kuwagamon, in Steep Road's Battle Café after Sky City's second Extra Arena is cleared. Upon talking to him, he tells the player that he evolved from Wormmon thanks to the player teaching him how fun battles can be, then challenges him to one. Gran Kuwagamon plays the Black King deck, a Black/Darkness deck that uses the great power of the Darkness specialty. Upon being defeated, he accepts the player is still too strong for him and he needs more training. He then tells the player to battle Ken if he has the time, as it'll be good for Ken. Beating Gran Kuwagamon five times awards the player Digi-Part 099: Opponent uses same Attack.
