An Armor-level Insect Digimon that evolved through the power of the "Digimental of Knowledge". It has "inquisitive" habits due to the effects of the "Digimental of Knowledge", and it performs information gathering and reconnaissance with the radome (radar) attached to its back. Searchmon can detect the presence of enemies no matter how small their sounds or vibrations are, and also gathers information on them. Its Special Move is emitting radio waves that derange the opponent from the radome on its back, leaving them in a state of complete confusion (Jamming Hertz).

Digimon Adventure:[edit]

Tyumon evolved to Searchmon after helping Izumi Koshiro defeat Rare Raremon in "King of Inventors, Gerbemon".

Searchmon reappeared alongside Gerbemon in "The Mystery Hidden Within the Crests" as part of Wisemon's investigative team.

Searchmon escaped the Tree of Knowledge, which was under attack by a swarm of Soundbirdmon, alongside Gerbemon and Wisemon in "The Angels' Determination". While Gerbemon showed difficulty in keeping control of himself due to Soundbirdmon's powers, Wisemon pointed out that it should not affect them so long as they were not caught off-guard as Nanomon was. However, they were then shot at by a group of Mechanorimon that had fallen under Soundbirdmon's control, which made Wisemon realize that said mind control power was effective on Machine Digimon. Gerbemon used his Unchi Bazooka on the floor to make a Mechanorimon trip, which then brought others down in a domino effect, though they were then attacked by several from the air. However, they were then saved by the newly-arrived Takaishi Takeru and Pegasmon, who destroyed the Soundbirdmon that were controlling the Mechanorimon. Nonetheless, the Mechanorimon then fell to Soundbirdmon's sound waves again, but they were stopped by Searchmon, who used radio waves to intercept the sound, which allowed Wisemon, Takeru, Pegasmon, Yagami Hikari and Tailmon to go further into the Tree of Knowledge to the Crest monoliths. This would not be the end of their problems however, as a Golemon (PS) then arrived in front of them. Said Golemon (PS) was then destroyed by Were Garurumon's Kaiser Nail and Kabuterimon, as Ishida Yamato and Koshiro arrived and joined them.

In "The Great Catastrophe, Negamon", Gerbemon helped the Partner Digimon reach the white void, where the Chosen Children had been taken, by shooting them out of his garbage can, which was held upwards by Searchmon with Wisemon making sure it was being aimed at the right direction. Komondomon would soon follow, though without Gerbemon and Wisemon's permission or knowledge.

After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", a Phascomon, alongside several Petitmon and Bokomon, asked Wisemon in the Tree of Information if the Digital World was now peaceful thanks to humans. Wisemon, accompanied by Gerbemon and Searchmon, specified that it was because of the Chosen Children and their Partner Digimon, and that it brought joy to his knowledge to pass on their story. Wisemon then wondered what kind of effects the merging of both the Real and Digital Worlds would produce from there on, knowing it was something he couldn't predict. However, the greater the mystery, the more his soul as a researcher would grow, but a Petitmon found all of that too hard to understand. Wisemon apologised, then added that one thing was certain: that a new life, a new Digimon, would be born on that day and the Digital World would continue to grow without end.
