Anime[edit]
Digimon Adventure[edit]
A Kuwagamon appears in "Adrift? The Island of Adventure!" and is the first wild Digimon to attack the Chosen Children. The children and their Digimon flee from Kuwagamon until they find themselves on a cliff. The Digimon of the children attack their enemy all at once, but with little effect. When they all evolve to their Child forms, they are seemingly able to defeat Kuwagamon with their attacks. However, it gets back up and jams its pincers into the cliff, breaking it off and sending the children and their partners plunging into the river. At the beginning of "Explosive Evolution! Greymon", Kuwagamon is seen falling towards the river, but misses to hit the Chosen Children with its pincers.
In "The Fairy! Piccolomon", another Kuwagamon attacks Agumon and Yagami Taichi. It is attacked out of the sudden by Piccolomon with Bit Bomb and presumably destroyed.
After the defeat of Venom Vamdemon in "Two Great Ultimate Evolutions! Get Rid of the Darkness!", a Kuwagamon appears in the Real World.
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
Kuwagamon is the partner of Yuri, a Russian Chosen Child. In "Love and Borscht, The Great Fierce Battle!", they take part in defeating the swarms of Flymon in Moscow in order to send them back to the Digital World.

Digimon Xros Wars[edit]
Digimon Dreamers[edit]
In "Travelling Tamer", suddenly, Wakamiya Jo tackled Kodou Ritsu, Pulsemon and Bokomon out of the way of the attack of a Kuwagamon. Ritsu asked if they were wild Digimon who came to attack Asunaro Village, but Jo took responsibility instead, explaining they were assassins sent to keep him away from the S Dimension, to Pulsemon's surprise as he thought Jo was lying. Pulsemon proclaimed he'd protect Asunaro Village, but Jo said they'd take care of them as they were his enemies, confusing Ritsu as he talked in plural. Jo then pulled out a shell and blew on it, summoning his Partner Digimon, Wingdramon. Jo explained the situation to him, while Ritsu was surprised such a strong-looking Digimon had shown up, and Pulsemon thought he was very cool. Jo got on Wingdramon, and Pulsemon soon followed, dragging Ritsu with him against his will, as he was afraid of heights. A mid-air battle then started, but it was quickly ended by Wingdramon's Blaze Sonic Breath killing the Kuwagamon.
Kuwagamon makes a cameo in "Steal Pulsemon!", as one of the Digimon in Dr. Vademon's stasis tanks alongside Kabuterimon.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]
After recruiting Kabuterimon, Taiga found Kuwagamon with its pincers stuck under a rock in Fluorescent Cave. After they introduced themselves to each other, the "famous" Kuwagamon asked Taiga for a favour, to destroy the rock. However, Digimaru ended up attacking Kuwagamon instead of the rock, so Kuwagamon told Taiga to bring something to do it instead. Having heard something explode, Kuwagamon sent Taiga to get it. After Taiga got a Training Bomb from the Bomb Evasion training machine, he used it to destroy the rock, though it also knocked Kuwagamon out. It's back up by the next day and congratulates Taiga on destroying the rock. It responds to Taiga's worries about it by saying it was just pretending to be dead, and Taiga won't get very far if he can't even see that, so it makes him its disciple and gives him the Kuwaga Autograph, then goes back to the Village of Beginnings. This awards Taiga the Kuwagamon's Disciple medal. Taiga can then talk to Kuwagamon in the streets of the Village of Beginnings, where it asks him about Kabuterimon. Learning it is in the Gym, Kuwagamon enters it, and then immediately picks a fight with its rival, a fight it quickly loses. Kabuterimon then forces Kuwagamon to leave. If Taiga talks to Kuwagamon again on the street, it asks Taiga to leave it alone so it can grow stronger, then leaves again. It comes back after three days, stronger but not strong enough, so it asks Taiga for three hours of his time to help it finish its training. With that, it managed to beat Kabuterimon, so it left on a training trip. Kuwagamon then improved the training machines, increasing their stat boots in ATK, SPD and MP but removing Kabuterimon's improvements on DEF, BRN and HP.
A Kuwagamon is fought in the Colosseum 10th floor Free Battle: "Card Collector", alongside its Tamer, Speedy Kenji. This awards Taiga a Culumon card. A Meramon and a Kuwagamon are fought in the 30th floor Free Battle: "My son is very strong", alongside their Tamers, Healthy and Habanero.
