Digimon World Re:Digitize is a two-part manga by Fujino Kouhei, published in V Jump to promote Digimon World Re:Digitize, released for the PlayStation Portable on July 19, 2012. Its two chapters appeared on June 21 and July 21, 2012.
The manga introduces Taiga and the other principal characters through their involvement with an online game operated by GIGO Company. Both chapters were subsequently collected in the first volume of Digimon World Re:Digitize Encode, preceding that series' story.
Story[edit]
Overview[edit]
Taiga enjoys competing in GIGO Company's online Digital Monsters game with his partner, Digimaru, an Agumon. His friend and neighbor, Nicolai Petrov, repeatedly challenges him with Sashenka, a Gaomon, but their latest match is interrupted by a network error.
Meanwhile, Mikagura Mirei investigates disturbances within GIGO's servers. Her findings point toward Project Vitium and the disappearance of Professor Petrov. Her investigation attracts the attention of Kuga Yuuya, who pursues her with his partner, Black, a Black War Greymon (X-Antibody).
After the game resumes, Taiga accepts a challenge from the top-ranked Nyanko Tamer, secretly Rindou Akiho. Their battle is interrupted when Mirei's Angewomon and Lady Devimon enter the Colosseum while fleeing Black. Taiga, Akiho and Nico become involved in the confrontation, with Digimaru evolving into War Greymon.
