Digimon Pendulum Z Metal Empire (デジモンペンデュラムZ メタルエンパイア Dejimon Pendyuramu Metaru Enpaia) is the second version of the Digimon Pendulum Z II virtual pet. It was officially released and sold by Premium Bandai along with the Pendulum Z Wind Guardians and Virus Busters.

- Care Mistakes: An evolution requirements that can be increased by missing or ignoring the Call of the partner Digimon for more than 10 minutes. Call is influenced by the empty hunger meter, the empty strength meter, and the Digimon being tired and wanting to sleep.
- Effort: An evolution requirements for mostly Child (Stage III) and Adult (Stage IV) Digimon that can be increased by using the Training feature, which fills 1 heart gauge for every 4 training sessions.
- Level: An evolution requirements for mostly Perfect (Stage V) and Ultimate (Stage VI and VI+) Digimon that can be increased by participating in the Colosseum battle, which also awards experience and increased stats through the battle.
- Winning the Battle: An evolution requirements which is required for Agumon -Yuki no Kizuna- and Gabumon -Yujo no Kizuna- by winning the battle in the Colosseum.
- Attribute: There are 4 Attributes: Data, Vaccine, Virus, and Free. If your attribute has an advantage over your opponent, there is a higher chance to win the battle than normal. In addition, Attribute usually determines Jogress compatibility and Jogress result.
- Jogress: Another way to evolve is for two Digimon to combine together and create a single Digimon that usually has greater power. By connecting both devices, both Digimon will evolve this way. However, it is possible to use the backed up Digimon to Jogress with the currently raised one.
- Connection 1: By connecting the device to the another version of Pendulum Z or Pendulum Z II, it can unlock an evolution route of partner Digimon from Digimon Adventure 02, which in this case Tailmon (Nature Spirits), Armadimon (Deep Savers), Wormmon (Nightmare Soldiers), Hawkmon (Wind Guardians), V-mon (Metal Empire), or Patamon (Virus Busters). Unconnected means that those evolution requirements is applied by such criteria.
- Connection 2: By connecting the device to the other two versions of Pendulum Z or Pendulum Z II, it can unlock both evolution routes of the partner Digimon from main leaders of Digimon Adventure and Digimon Frontier, which in this case Agumon and Agnimon (Pendulum Z) or Gabumon and Wolfmon (Pendulum Z II). Unconnected means that those evolution requirements is applied by such criteria.
