After reaching its ultimate form, Vitium Ultimate went into the realm between worlds, having left Black War Greymon, Megalo Growmon, Rize Greymon and Chaos Dukemon behind to protect it. Taiga followed it there, where it appeared in the form of an egg that spawned endless Vitium Babies. After a fight, Digimaru broke its shell, awakening Vitium Ultimate's true body. Vitium explained it always felt Taiga's presence as its consciousness was growing and was waiting for this moment for a long time. Since its birth, it was presented with a dilemma, the lack of a piece it could never fill. It was made from unceasing conflicts around it and wondered if that was the world, which it found noisy and irritating but also warm and welcoming. It wanted to clarify its confusion by the only means that were ever given to it, destruction. As Taiga had always been with it, it challenged him to stop it, as either the world or Vitium had to be destroyed.

Vitium Ultimate starts the battle with Refactoring. During the fight, it can use more than three moves. After lowering its HP to 0, Taiga threw the Gospel Structure at Vitium Ultimate to weaken it, though it kept fighting Digimaru. After being defeated once again, Taiga thought it was all over. Vitium was glad that someone stopped it since it could now stop wandering. At the end of an endless cycle of evolution that could only end in collapse, Vitium found a piece of the answer it was seeking, that even in an unending loneliness, there is still a light that shines occasionally, mutual understanding, sympathy, and wondered if that was the meaning of life. It told Taiga that the words "I am right here" he heard once were Vitium's birth cry when it first felt self-awareness, at that moment and during their fight for survival, it only felt Taiga's sympathy for it, and it'd now go back to the depths Digital Ocean of life. It hoped it'd meet Taiga again, in a different place and under different circumstances, as it still existed somewhere in the Digital World as a scattered presence, where it'd wait for new life to grow. While the chance it was given came to nothing, it felt no regrets, only peace, and asked Taiga to go back home to those that were waiting for him, using the last of its strength to return him to the Digital World, as thanks for freeing it from its loneliness during its last moments. It asked Taiga to not be concerned about its destruction, explaining it was in a great state of confusion ever since it was born and Taiga should feel the same, plagued by indecision and the absurdity of life. It thought things became easier when everything was over and it could go home, back to the emptiness from which it was born.
