Sorry for our appearance, but this article currently needs a lot of work.

A bug (バグ, Bagu) is a singularity[1]; an error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce undesired results. Deltamon was forcefully fused from three Digimon due to a computer bug[2]. "Chaosmon" is the codename for Digimon who "should not exist", and according to the "Central Dogma" of the Digital World, are absolute impossible singularities.[1]

Bugs enter the DigiBeetle from Bug Nests in Holes that are invisible if the DigiBeetle isn't equipped with a high enough level Bug SWEEP. Said Bug Nests can be destroyed if the DigiBeetle is equipped with a Bug Zapper and Akira has the right type of item (this depends on the type and level of the Bug itself); the same items can be used to remove Bugs that have already entered the DigiBeetle. Bugs come in three levels: yellow, blue and red, each stronger than the last. All Bugs affect the player every time they take a step. There are various types of Bugs in the game:

  • Bit Bug: lowers Akira's bits.
  • Memory Bug: takes up a slot in Akira's memory, stopping him from obtaining more Digimon.
  • Energy Bug: lowers the DigiBeetle's EP.
  • Return Bug: returns Akira's Digimon to Digital City.
