The Appmon Seven Code Band (アプモンセブンコードバンド, Apumon Sebun Kōdo Bando) is a wearable electronic toy produced by Bandai for Digimon Universe Appli Monsters. Based on the fictional device of the same name, it features an LCD screen and a touch sensor used to search for, battle and collect Appmon. It was released in Japan on March 25, 2017.
The toy contains fifty Appmon and includes several gameplay modes based on functions depicted in the series. It was released with a suggested retail price of ¥3,500 before tax and was intended for children aged six and over.
Design[edit]
The Appmon Seven Code Band consists of a central electronic unit attached to a wrist strap. Its LCD screen displays characters and gameplay information, while the touch-sensitive surface below it registers swiping and tapping motions. These inputs are used to search for Appmon, avoid attacks, play minigames and activate the sequence for entering the Deep Web.
The toy is powered by three LR44 button-cell batteries, which were included with the product.
Gameplay[edit]
The player searches for Appmon and battles those they encounter. Defeating an Appmon registers it in the Appmon Encyclopedia and awards Enemy Points. Accumulating points increases the player's level, progressively unlocking stronger Appmon. A total of fifty Appmon can be registered.
Deep Web Mode[edit]
Deep Web Mode recreates the activation of the Appmon Seven Code Band in the series. Swiping across the touch sensor causes the screen to glow red and activates an animation in which Dantemon opens the gateway to the Deep Web.
Appmon Search Mode[edit]
In Appmon Search Mode, the player searches for nearby Appmon by following the radar's light and sound. Discovering an enemy begins a battle in which the player swipes the touch sensor to avoid attacks and counterattack.
Winning awards Enemy Points and registers the defeated Appmon in the Appmon Encyclopedia. Some Appmon only become available after the player reaches a specified level.
Buddy Sync Mode[edit]
Buddy Sync Mode contains four minigames themed after the principal Buddy Appmon:

Appmon Encyclopedia Mode[edit]
Appmon Encyclopedia Mode allows the player to view the Appmon registered after being encountered and defeated. The encyclopedia contains fifty entries, including Standard-, Super-, Ultimate-grade Appmon and Leviathan.
Emergency Summon[edit]
The Appmon Seven Code Band can interact with sounds produced by the Appli Drive. When an Emergency Summon event is activated, completing the resulting challenge awards additional Enemy Points.
Watch Mode[edit]
Watch Mode displays the current time, allowing the device to function as a digital wristwatch.
