Ropuremon is one of the Seven Code Appmon (Code 2).
Ropuremon are associated with RPGs and attend schools. One of them is the creator of a role-playing video game called Awesome Excitement Dungeon, which was initially very popular but later fell out of favor due to its high difficulty. This Ropuremon becomes depressed and is infected by the L-Virus, causing him to delete the data of Fantasy Saga players and modify computers throughout the city to display RPG-themed text. He then takes refuge in the AR-Field, where he recreates his dungeon.
Shinkai Haru and Gatchmon pursue him to the AR-Field at Fujimizaka Middle School and eventually find him at the end of his dungeon. Ropuremon attacks them, but Haru confesses that he greatly enjoyed the game, curing him of the L-Virus. Ropuremon then gives his Appmon Chip to Haru, who receives a Seven Code PAD for collecting his first Seven Code Chip.
Ropuremon also participates in the Appmon Ranking Championship in the Cyber Arena. During the final event, he teams up with Gatchmon. Later, Katsura Rei steals Ropuremon's Chip from Haru, but eventually returns it. After fulfilling their role, Ropuremon and the other Seven Code Appmon return to their normal forms.
Another Ropuremon is among the Appmon queuing to have Tellermon tell their fortunes.
Manga[edit]
Digimon Universe Appli Monsters[edit]
In the manga version, its debut is not depicted, but it is already in Haru's possession. In the Chapter 4, Raidramon's special attack allows Rei to steal the Seven Code Appmon Chip, along with the Appmon up to Code 5 and the Seven Code PAD. It is later taken by Mienumon as well, but in the Chapter 5, after Mienumon drops it and retreats, Rei returns it to Haru.

During the quest "Find My Game", Kazuki/Itsuki looked for a child's RPG game console that his mum threw into the trash. However, upon finding it, the Ropuremon within it refused to go with them and deleted all of its data, forcing Kazuki/Itsuki to go into the game's AR Dungeon. After defeating Ropuremon, Kazuki/Itsuki explained they weren't there to take the game console but to return it to its original owner. They also clarified that the boy never threw it away like Ropuremon thought, it was merely a mistake from his mother that led to it being thrown away. With that known, Ropuremon allowed Kazuki/Itsuki to take the console with its data with them.
