Protagonist[edit]
Itsuki is the main character of the game.
Overall, there are very few differences in the game depending on whether the player chooses Kazuki or Itsuki. In the original Japanese script, Kazuki uses more casual and masculine speech patterns (such as "ore"), whereas Itsuki speaks in a more neutral or polite manner (such as "watashi"). Additionally, Itsuki is slightly more likely to refer to Naoto by name, while Kazuki more often refers to him simply as "he".
Rival[edit]
If the player chooses Kazuki at the beginning, Itsuki will appear later with another Onmon as her Buddy Appmon. The two fight each other in some of the post-game High-End GPs.
For the High-End GP (S-Rank), Itsuki opens with Onmon + Gatchmon, which AppGattai into Logimon. She also uses Entermon + Tripmon, Globemon + Weatherdramon, Dezipmon + Weatherdramon. Unlike other opponents, she'll switch her Appmon if at a type disadvantage, and choose her next Appmon based on type advantage. She also uses Consulmon for Appli Skills.
After the battle between both playable characters in the A-Rank, both acknowledged each other's strength. Kazuki was surprised that Itsuki's Buddy Appmon was Onmon, and Itsuki explained that she loved games and Onmon was eager to connect her with all of them, and that's how they ended up in the Cyber Arena. Onmon proclaimed he'd connect Itsuki to a lot of battles. Kazuki could see how similar they were. Itsuki thought they could become great friends but was feeling down because of her defeat. Nonetheless, she resolved to catch up soon and Kazuki wanted them to reach for the top together.
For the final battle of the High-End GP (EX2), Itsuki promises to not give up until she wins once she's logged in. She also confirms that her Onmon has become Logimon. She opens the fight with Logimon + Logimon. She then repeatedly uses Globemon + Sateramon. She also uses Craftmon, Dezipmon, Beautymon, Oujamon, and Entermon for Appli Skills.
After the fight, both acknowledged how much the other improved since their last battle. While Itsuki acknowledged her defeat, that only got her more fired up, and she found even losing fun because figuring out how to win next time would make her stronger. Itsuki realized Kazuki got stronger the same way, one step at a time, which Kazuki acknowledged and said he'd keep doing. Itsuki promised she'd try again and win next time and Kazuki looked forward to it. Itsuki then left running.
Itsuki fights Kazuki again as the final battle of the High-End GP (EX4). Before the battle, she confirms her Logimon has become Bootmon. She opens the fight with Bootmon + Sateramon. She then repeatedly uses Globemon + Sateramon. She also uses Beautymon and Entermon for Appli Skills.
After the fight, Itsuki confessed she didn't expect to fight Kazuki again so soon since she wanted their battle to be in the High-End GP (Final). Kazuki thought that meant she was also aiming to become the Champion but she just wanted to have fun by becoming stronger, and she got even more motivated by battling fun opponents. Itsuki then asked Kazuki to fight her again in the High-End GP (Final) and left running.
Itsuki acknowledged the first round of the High-End GP (Final) would be her last battle against Kazuki. As such, she asked him not to hold back and promised she'll go all-out as well, which is exactly what Kazuki wanted. She opens the fight with Rebootmon + Sateramon. Afterwards, she'll use an Appmon with an attribute advantage against the player, and will also switch her Appmon if at an attribute disadvantage, using the following Appmon: Beautymon, Sateramon. Her Applink options are the following: Tripmon, Sateramon, Bootmon. She also uses Oujamon, Warudamon, Globemon and Deusmon for Appli Skills. If the player uses a God Appmon, Itsuki will constantly use the Omnipotence (Deusmon) Appli Skill and won't use it otherwise. When she's about to fill the third signature skill gauge, she'll use the Global (Globemon) Appli Skill.
After the fight, Itsuki acknowledged Kazuki's strength and encouraged him to keep calm and push on to reach Naoto.
