Digimon Universe Appli Monsters: Appmon Academy!! (デジモンユニバース アプリモンスターズ アプモン学園！！, Dejimon Yunibāsu Appuri Monsutāzu Appumon Gakuen!!) is a comedy manga illustrated by Hirose Katsuki, with the original concept credited to Hongo Akiyoshi. It was serialized in Shueisha's Saikyo Jump from October 1, 2016 to August 4, 2017, running for nine chapters.
Part of the Digimon Universe Appli Monsters project, the manga follows Gatchmon as the chairman of the disciplinary committee at a school attended by Appmon.
Story[edit]
Overview[edit]
Appmon Academy, also abbreviated as "Apu-gaku" (アプ学), is a school where Appmon representing applications such as search, navigation and email gather. Its disciplinary committee chairman, Gatchmon, spends its days searching for incidents to resolve.
Assisted by Navimon, Gatchmon hopes that solving problems around the academy will make it famous enough to join the App God 4 (アプ神４), a group of celebrated Appmon associated with the four applications fixed to a smartphone's taskbar. Its eagerness to distinguish itself frequently clashes with Navimon's more sensible approach.
In the first chapter, the pair discover that Mailmon, infected by Virusmon, has overwhelmed Roleplaymon with chain letters. Gatchmon counters Mailmon's attacks by summoning a goat mail carrier that eats the letters, then defeats Mailmon and frees it from the virus. Virusmon, resentful that nobody would want to download a virus application, escapes.
Later chapters feature school-related incidents and activities, including a race to school, a singing competition, a ski training camp and a school ghost story.
