Punimon is an inhabitant of Asunaro Village. In "Orgemon Invasion", Orgemon ate a big plate of Asunaro Meat, which Koemon handled, while Tanemon, Tokomon, Punimon, two Koromon, Chicomon, Poyomon, Penmon, two Agumon and Mochimon stared at them in fear. Orgemon proceeded to take the meat with him, but Tanemon tried to stop him, as the meat was made for the Digimon of the village so they'd grow strong and evolve. Orgemon easily flicked Tanemon away, and then the two Agumon, a Koromon, a Mochimon, a Chicomon, a Poyomon, a Bubbmon and a Tokomon gathered around them, trying to protect them even while terrified. Orgemon looked at them and realized that only a few of them had evolved at all, with Koemon explaining that a curse on the village prevented them from evolving. Orgemon then returned to eating the Asunaro Meat while assuring them that he'd evolve for them, with Tanemon crying due to that, however, he was stopped by a kick to the top of his head from Pulsemon, who declared that he'd keep Asunaro Village's meat safe to both Orgemon and Koemon, and the Digimon that had tried to defend Tanemon, who happily cried at his arrival. Orgemon was angry at Pulsemon, and only got more mad after the latter misunderstood his comment, so he went and punched Pulsemon in the head. Kodou Ritsu, Bokomon, Patamon, and the Digimon of Asunaro Village screamed at Pulsemon who had apparently been knocked out with a single blow, and Orgemon pointed out that, as a warrior, he made it a point not to go easy on anyone and they should not think badly of him, then tried to leave, only to stop in shock as Pulsemon got back up.

A Punimon NPC resides in the Village of Beginnings, inside Jijimon's House serving as a healer by letting your Digimon rest and slightly recover their HP and MP stats and relive their tiredness after battling or training for too much at the cost of an in-game hour. Once the Item Shop has been built, Punimon will leave its job and move to the Shop giving you advice on how to organize your Items and buy higher quantities as his role is replaced by Centarumon who upgrades the resting mechanic and heals more HP, MP and Tiredness.

Digimon Adventure[edit]

Takaishi Takeru and Patamon found newly-born Botamon, Punimon and Yuramon in the Village of Beginnings in Episode 17, "Adventure! Patamon and I".

A Botamon, a Punimon and a Yuramon disappeared from the Village of Beginnings in Sub-Episode 7, "Where are the Digimon?", worrying Elecmon and causing him and the Chosen Children to look for them, as they suspected they had been kidnapped. After they found the babies, Elecmon wondered why they went away from the Village of Beginnings if they were safe and not kidnapped. Returning to the Village of Beginnings, Elecmon asked the babies why they left, and they answered that they left because they were practicing a song in secret to thank Elecmon for taking care of them, which was enough to get Elecmon crying. Elecmon then thanked the Chosen Children for their help and gave them a Skill Release DigiPiece, which gives the equipped Digimon the technique of the same name which undoes Skill Seal in one ally. He then told them they could come back to the Village of Beginnings whenever they wanted.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]

After activating the first Memorial Stella, a Punimon from the Village of Beginnings mails Taiga, asking him for food as it's extremely hungry. Taiga gives it a piece of meat, which not only fills it, it also evolves it into Gekomon, though this makes it even hungrier.

Another Punimon wants to see a Digimon that's very fast. If Digimaru is fast enough, it'll make Punimon feel like it'll become faster than light, then evolve into Grappu Leomon.
