Appearances[edit]
Anime[edit]
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
Shakkoumon is the Jogressed partner Hida Iori of and Takaishi Takeru.
It was first formed when the Chosen Children were about to battle Black War Greymon to protect the last Holy Stone. Both Iori and Takeru knew they could not let the artificial Digimon destroy everyone, despite its reasons. At that moment, both their hearts were beating as one, causing their Digimon partners to perform Jogress Evolution. Shakkoumon teamed up with Paildramon and Silphymon to take on Black War Greymon and did a significantly better job of holding it off than the others, but the trio were still taken down systematically.
Shakkoumon later appeared on Christmas Eve when Digimon began to appear in Tokyo. Then, on the night of December 26, Shakkoumon was forced to kill Marin Devimon of the Demon Corps when it tried to destroy a hospital with Iori in it. Shakkoumon was involved in the final battle with Belial Vamdemon.
Digimon Xros Wars & The Evil Death General and the Seven Kingdoms[edit]
When Kudou Taiki accidentally walked off the edge of a platform in the Heaven Zone, he was rescued midair by a Shakkoumon, who gave him a cryptic warning that not everything in paradise is what it seems. Lucemon later said that it might be a spy for the Angel Police.
After Lucemon's facade was revealed, Shakkoumon helped Shoutmon X4B to defeat Lucemon Falldown Mode.
Digimon Adventure:[edit]
In the past, Shakkoumon was a gift from the heavens that protected a group of Cupimon and Puttimon. However, it was unable to defeat a gigantic group of Evilmon and Devidramon and, realizing there was no escape from them, the Cupimon sealed it off to protect it, before they were all killed. Afterwards, it would be remembered as a benevolent Digimon, with its legend reaching Neamon, who decided to start a Digimon village where Shakkoumon once fought due to it.
In "The Tears of Shakkoumon", Shakkoumon was accidentally woken up after the tree it was sealed below was moved by Yagami Taichi, Greymon, Takenouchi Sora, Birdramon, and the Digimon village formed by Neamon and Junkmon. Once it awoke, it attacked randomly, destroying the village. Greymon and Birdramon evolved into Metal Greymon and Garudamon to stop it, though ultimately Shakkoumon went to sleep once again on its own. While it was asleep, Sora, Piyomon and Neamon decided to investigate where Shakkoumon came from, a big hole left behind from the moved tree, where they found an inscription that explained what had happened to Shakkoumon in the past, as well as a small statue of it. Once they touched it, Sora and Piyomon fell to a deep sleep, where they saw Shakkoumon's past.
Shakkoumon then reawakened, and fought against War Greymon, who attacked it with Gaia Force as Neamon prayed for it to go back to its slumber. However, the Gaia Force was stopped by Garudamon, as Sora and Garudamon decided that they would stop Shakkoumon without fighting. Garudamon evolved into Hououmon and used her Starlight Explosion to bring back the souls of the dead Cupimon and Puttimon, who created a giant Crest of Love around Shakkoumon that calmed it down. Afterwards, Shakkoumon stayed with the Digimon village.
After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", the village, which now included Neamon, Junkmon, Bearmon, Labramon, Shakkoumon, the Funbeemon, the Pomumon, the Kyaromon and a Grottemon, were shown tending to their crops.

Digimon World: Digital Card Arena[edit]
Shakkoumon appears in Igloo City's Battle Café after Jungle City's third Extra Arena is cleared. However, he won't speak to the player until after Igloo City's third Extra Arena is cleared, which is already open if Shakkoumon appeared in the Battle Café.
Shakkoumon is the last opponent of Igloo City's third Extra Arena and the first of the fourth. Upon evolving for the first time, he proclaims the player has no chance against him as he has no weaknesses. Shakkoumon plays the Ancient Romance deck, a Yellow/Rare deck with 4 attack, defense, and evolution speed that uses Specialty-changing attacks to change its opponent to Yellow/Rare. Upon being defeated in the third Extra Arena, as he did as Submarimon, he points out that if he can't defeat the player, no one can. However, he adds that he'll evolve to his Ultimate level someday and beat him. In the fourth Extra Arena, he'll instead point that the player's time has come, because he can finally evolve to his Ultimate level, then advises the player to run as he can't guarantee his safety.
Shakkoumon is also an obtainable Perfect-level Yellow/Rare card whose stats are:
- HP: 1760
- DP: 40
- +P: 20
- Circle attack: 680
- Triangle attack: 520
- X attack: 300, Jamming
- Support Ability: Recover 100 HP and increase your X attack power by 100.
Shakkoumon's attacks are Nigimitama, Aramitama and Sakimitama. Shakkoumon's card can be obtained by fusing the Ankylomon and Angemon cards at the Fusion Shop.
