The "Tactical-enhancement Mode", which possesses Mail Birdramon's armor on top of Greymon's power, is a form that was strengthened without hindering the fighting strength of Greymon, who specialized in close-combat fighting.
As its "Trident Arm" is a technique that was enhanced exceptionally in offensive ability by adding extreme high-temperature claws on top of Greymon's already mighty power, and its "Giga Destroyer" is an annihilation technique in which it irradiates extremely high-energy, homing laser beams at all opponents in its surroundings, it has been strengthened from a Greymon that excelled in one-to-one battles to one that could fight one-to-many.

Digimon Xros Wars[edit]

Metal Greymon is the DigiXrossed form of Greymon and Mail Birdramon, Aonuma Kiriha's Partner Digimon and members of Blue Flare. Kiriha first formed this in "Xros Rival!! The Blue Hound Kiriha!!" to fight against Tactimon and his Troopmon squad. While Metal Greymon couldn't hurt Tactimon with his Trident Arm and Giga Destroyer, he nonetheless caused severe damage to Tactimon's troops with the same Giga Destroyer that Tactimon reflected. Because of this, alongside the fact that Xros Heart was still standing, Tactimon decided to retreat, using Tenshukaku to create a smokescreen to stop Metal Greymon, who tried to block their escape. It was used many times afterwards, as Kiriha's main DigiXros.
