Boltmon

From Wikimon

A prototype Cyborg Digimon constructed at the same time as Andromon. Unlike the mechanically-based Andromon, the organically-based Boltmon possessed emotions, as well as power that surpassed Andromon's, but it was difficult to control and ran wild, and was consigned to oblivion in the darkness. It is an unfortunate Digimon whose own existence was denied, so it wanders within the darkness of its sorrow. Its Special Move is to easily wield its gigantic battle axe (Tomahawk Steiner).

A Boltmon is one of the outlaws that lives in the wastelands. Before the events of "The Vagrant War Demon, Rebellimon", Boltmon was challenged by Rebellimon and easily defeated the latter. In the present, he attacked Rebellimon once again, though Cutemon heard him coming. Rebellimon refused to allow Yagami Taichi and Agumon to join the battle, and was easily beaten down by the Ultimate Level. Cutemon then tried to protect him, only to get easily blown away by Boltmon stomping on the ground, and would've been killed by Boltmon stomping on him had Rebellimon not saved him. Now realizing that he wished to protect someone, and with his arm healed by Cutemon, Rebellimon was able to get revenge and kill Boltmon.

Beyond the use of its tomahawk, Boltmon was able to release electricity as well as spin his arm around at great speeds, causing a tornado to form.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]

After Taiga gives a bandage to an injured Jyarimon in the Village of Beginnings, it warp evolves to Boltmon and leaves the Village to go on a journey with its new found Ultimate powers. Said journey leads it to the Frozen Sea Tanker, where it works as security. When asked why it needed security, Boltmon explains that strange things had been happening, such as a leak sinking the ship little by little because someone's been loosening the ship's screws unseen. It asks Taiga to help pursuing the criminal, then sets up 12 hours from then as the time to investigate and joins Taiga's party. They find the culprit, Piccolomon, close to the exit to the Night Canyon. After beating it up, Piccolomon apologises, explaining it was just a prank, then leaves. As a token of gratitude, Boltmon gives Taiga a Digiseabass and tells him to come to it if he needs help with a stuck bolt.

Taiga makes use of this information during the Scheme of the Demon Lords chapter (策謀の魔王篇 Sakubō no Maō-hen), where it asks Boltmon to undo the bolts on the prison 70th floor of the Digitower. However, they're too late, as the prisoner, Lucemon, dies soon after, which leaves Boltmon deeply shocked. It's unwilling to get caught up in the events, so it leaves for Powdery Cliff after giving Taiga the Bolt Unlocker key.

A Boltmon can be fought in the Heavenly Hall Free Battle: "Greatest Combat Tamer", alongside its Tamer, Matthau. Winning this awards Taiga a Regent Head accesory.

Boltmon evolves from Andromon and Blue Meramon.
