An extremely scarce Digimon, whose population is small. The Babies of Dragon-species Digimon are small in absolute number, and it is said that most of them are captured or die before they grow up. You wouldn't know it to look at it, but there are tiny, closely packed fangs growing within its mouth, and it is foreseen that it will grow into a powerful Dragon-species Digimon. Although it is powerless, it has the disposition to face those with bodies larger than its own, and that becomes the reason for its low survival rate. It attacks with bubbles heated by the constant high temperatures within its body.

A Jyarimon is an inhabitant of Asunaro Village. It first appeared in "Indoor Tamer・Ritsu", playing around with an Agumon, a Koromon, a Chicomon, and a Poromon.

After Tanemon's meat was cooked in "Asunaro Meat"; Pulsemon, Patamon, Bokomon, two Agumon, a Koromon and a Jyarimon kept eating it while exclaiming how Tanemon's meat was the best, which Tanemon found creepy as it sounded like they were eating Tanemon, so they instead offered to call it Asunaro Meat, which got Pulsemon to point out that Tanemon's meat was Asunaro Meat, which Tanemon didn't like.

Jyarimon warned Kodou Ritsu, Pulsemon, Bokomon and Patamon that an Orgemon had entered Asunaro Village in "Orgemon Invasion".

An injured Jyarimon in the Village of Beginnings asks Taiga to help it. After Taiga gives it a bandage to heal its wounds, it warp evolves to Boltmon.

A Jyarimon in the Village of Beginnings asks Taiga to get Parrotmon to come back, as its job was no longer needed. After Taiga does so, Jyarimon is filled with courage and evolves into Gigimon, then gives Taiga a Digipine as thanks.

A Jyarimon in the Village of Beginnings wants to see a Digimon from a Tamer with a high Decode level. When Taiga shows it Digimaru after meeting said criteria, Jyarimon thinks it looks amazing and it's unfair, so it wants to copy it. Using Taiga's Decode, Jyarimon then evolves into Metal Garurumon.

A Jyarimon close to the Colosseum was fed up with training. If Digimaru's attack is high enough, after Taiga encourages it not to give up, Jyarimon wants to catch up and surpass it, causing it to evolve into Death Meramon.

A Jyarimon, without a Tamer, is fought in the Colosseum's 1st floor Free Battle: "Children Digimon unite", which only allows the use of Baby II-level Digimon.

Jyarimon can evolve to Gigimon.
