⇨ Original
A Digimon that wields the power of "Absorption", it was once a single being, but was split in two and sealed away due to it possessing incredible strength. It is said that when the balance of order in the world is lost, the seal will be broken and it will manifest. Albatusmon's white, hooded cape is a restraining device that suppresses its power, and while wearing this cape, that power is suppressed. It regains its original strength by unfastening the cape, but since this fully unleashes its power of "Absorption", it will keep absorbing beings in its surroundings if it continues to act while the cape is unfastened. For that reason, it is said that after it reaches a critical point in a relatively short period of time, Albatusmon will burst and disappear. Since it is able to transfer and release energy by acting alongside a Digimon that wields the opposing power of "Emanation", it continuously displays its full power without disappearing.
It engages in battle by wielding its magic staff "Conciliator", created from the energy it has absorbed. Its Special Move is setting up a giant magic circle, drawn with Conciliator, in the air or on the ground, breaking down every being within range of the magic circle into the smallest units of data, and then absorbing them (Demise Sphere). While the cape is unfastened, Demise Sphere is capable of drawing a vast magic circle with a radius of 1 km, allowing it to absorb even Digimon that attack it in groups all at once. When facing enemies at close range, it attacks with its "Absorption Circle", in which it conjures a small magic circle in front of its palm, siphoning and absorbing the opponent's data through the magic circle. While the cape is unfastened, Absorption Circle has suction power on a different level, and is powerful enough to instantly absorb even gigantic Digimon whole.

| Albatusmon is one of two split halves of Volvemon, the other being Atratusmon. These two halves act as counterparts to each other, with Atratusmon representing "Emanation", is clothed in black armor and a black cloak, and features a moon motif; Albatusmon represents "Absorption", is clothed in white armor and a while cloak, and features a sun motif. The two are also nearly identical in design outside of the above differences. When the two fuse into their original form, Volvemon generates various kinds of environmental cycles, such as the day-and-night cycle, in the Digital World by absorbing and emanating data. The sun motif of Albatusmon is also present in the design of Helios Boamon, as Albatusmon is the Ultimate form of Helios Boamon in Digimon Beatbreak. The text on Albatusmon's magic circle reads "DEMISE SPHERE".
