What it acquired during that journey was a power that embodies unity. Seiten Gokuwmon is a Tathāgata Digimon that evolved when Sanzomon used its sutras to elevate the bonds it had with Cho·Hakkaimon and Sagomon—whom it traveled alongside and grew up with—into a new power. Although its inherently belligerent nature remains unchanged, it is no longer as arrogant as it used to be, and has grown into a warrior who combines combat instinct with composure. Its spirit is not the only thing that has grown. The golden decorations on its back are "Kintoun", which it transforms into a thundercloud to use. The "Nyoikinkobō", which it used regularly, has taken in the power of its companions and combined it with Gokuwmon's abilities, which enhanced it into the "Nyoitenjinbō", a weapon capable of freely changing shape that harnesses three attributes—thunder, fire, and water. Freely wielding sorcery and martial arts, it has become a powerful Digimon who is truly worthy of being called a mighty warrior. While it is a Digimon of the strongest class, rivaling the guardians of the Eastern Digital World, the Tentei Hachibushu, it is a free being who is neither bound by destiny nor constraints, so Erlangmon has been keeping a close watch on its every move. Its Special Moves are making its eyes glow with flame-like light, temporarily increasing its strength (Kagan Kinsei), sending out flames from the Nyoitenjinbō and striking while preserving their power (Hakkai Entengeki), and similarly, generating a violent whirlpool to engulf the opponent (Gojō Suitensō), and transforming the Nyoitenjinbō into a bazooka, concentrating lightning, and then firing it (Chōtai Seirai Tenhō). As the Ultimate form of Gokuwmon, Seiten Gokuwmon shines golden and is described as a Digimon truly worthy of the "Saiyu Warriors" name. Depictions and adaptations of Sūn Wùkōng feature him shining golden or with gold fur. As Sanzomon's sutras elevated the bonds between Gokuwmon and its allies for the evolution, Seiten Gokuwmon’s design also features elements of Cho·Hakkaimon and Sagomon; this is represented in the Digimon Card Game with Seiten Gokuwmon's Assembly effect. Seiten Gokuwmon is also a Tathāgata Digimon, much like Shakamon of the Tentei Hachibushu, representing Seiten Gokuwmon reaching enlightenment just as Sūn Wùkōng does in Journey to the West. The rivalry between Sūn Wùkōng and Erlang Shen, from the same story, is represented by Seiten Gokuwmon and Erlangmon of the Tentei Hachibushu. Tied around Seiten Gokuwmon’s neck is the "Nyoitenjinbō", based on his namesake’s Rúyì Jīngū Bàng, also known as the Nyoi Kinkōbō. Much like Hanumon’s "Nyoi Bone" and Gokuwmon’s "Nyoikinkobou", the Nyoitenjinbō can shrink and expand in size like the Rúyì Jīngū Bàng. The expanded staff features attributes of Cho·Hakkaimon’s "Roketto Dīng​pá", of Sagomon’s "Kouyouhoujou", and has the ability to grow to the size of a cannon. The "Kintoun" has similar size-changing properties, with the capability to shrink to the golden decorations on Seiten Gokuwmon’s back, to become a cloud large enough to be ridden akin to popular depictions of Sūn Wùkōng (including Hanumon and Gokuwmon), or grow into a giant thundercloud. The medium size of the "Kintoun" can be seen in certain media, such as Digimon New Century and the Digimon Pendulum COLOR 6 Saiyu Warriors (where it can seen as part of the sleep animation for Seiten Gokuwmon). Due to having the attributes of Cho·Hakkaimon on the right shoulder and Sagomon on the left shoulder, Seiten Gokuwmon's design seems to be inspired by Shoutmon X3, which also has the attributes of Dorulumon on the right shoulder and Ballistamon on the left shoulder. Both Gokuwmon and Shoutmon X3 debuted in the Digimon Xros Wars series and multiple cards related to Gokuwmon, including the Shambala-traited [EX12-015 Gokuwmon], utilize DigiXros effects. These attributes are also similar in nature to Susanoomon’s arms made up of Kaiser Greymon and Magna Garurumon. Seiten Gokuwmon’s staff being a combination of Cho·Hakkaimon and Sagomon’s weapons is reminiscent of Susanoomon’s "ZERO-ARMS: Orochi" as well. Susanoomon is considered a legend to the Digital World: Shambala that Seiten Gokuwmon is an inhabitant of.
