Digimon Adventure[edit]
Andromon was the first Perfect-Level Digimon, which the Chosen Children met while they were on the File Island. During this time it was controlled by one of Devimon's Black Gears and thus attacked the kids when they entered the factory in which he lived. However, Tentomon then evolved to Kabuterimon and freed Andromon from the gear.
Later, when the Dark Masters took control over the Digital World, Andromon fought against Mugendramon, but it was War Greymon who defeated the Dark Master. Later, Andromon helped the Chosen Children fight against Piemon, but like most of them was turned into a keychain. However, he was turned back by Holy Angemon and then helped to fight Piemon and his Evilmon army.
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
Andromon made a reappearance as a slave of the Digimon Kaiser controlled by an Evil Ring, fighting the Chosen Children at Full Metal City. It took Yagami Hikari's tears and pleas to give Andromon the power to fight the Evil Ring's influence, and finally he destroyed it and the Dark Tower. He later freed and reset the Guardromon in the city as well.
Digimon Tamers[edit]
Andromon was a heroic figure who tried to liberate the Gekomon from Orochimon. But after taking too many injuries, he regressed to Guardromon before becoming the partner of Shiota Hirokazu.
Digital Monster X-evolution[edit]
Andromon was among the Digimon which met with several X Digimon to discuss Yggdrasill's plans. However, it turned out that Andromon was on Yggdrasill's side and had submitted the infos of the meeting to the Royal Knights. When Omegamon appeared and attacked the X Digimon, he at first was glad but when Omegamon also attacked him and his comrades he realized that War Greymon (X-Antibody) was right the whole time. Andromon was finally killed when Omegamon's attacked ripped War Greymon's Dramon Killer from his arm, which impaled Andromon.

A Soundbirdmon awoke an Andromon that slept below a pile of junk in the ancient weapon factory and drove him berserk in "Lilimon Blooms".
After cleaning a sleeping Guardromon's head behind another pile of scrap, Tachikawa Mimi found herself face-to-face with Andromon. Mimi tried to ask him instructions to return to the surface, but Andromon attacked her, with Palmon barely saving her Chosen Child from his attack. Palmon then evolved into Togemon and attacked Andromon, but she was completely unable to hurt him, and ended up getting blown back and returned to Palmon after their fists clashed against each other. Andromon tried to kill Mimi once again, but was blocked by the Guardromon that Mimi had cleaned earlier. Andromon asked said Guardromon, Guardromon Nº2078, what it was trying to do, but rather than answering, Guardromon looked at Mimi, replaying the footage of her cleaning it over and over, then took a fighting stance before shooting a Destruction Grenade at a crane on the roof, which fell on Andromon. Guardromon then ran away with Mimi and Palmon riding on one of its arms. However, Andromon would break free from the crane, still dead-set on eliminating Mimi.
Andromon appeared once more before Guardromon, Mimi and Palmon as they attempted to leave the factory via an elevator. Andromon forced open its door before it could fully close. To protect Mimi, Guardromon embraced both her and Palmon then tackled Andromon. Andromon answered by shooting his Gatling Missiles, though Guardromon managed to dodge them. Guardromon then tried to once again use its Destruction Grenade to drop something on Andromon, though he merely batted it away before spinning his hand at high speeds. Guardromon then left Mimi and Palmon on the floor and put himself between Andromon and the girls, blocking the former's Spiral Sword with its body. This proved to be too much for Guardromon, who shut down after the attack. Andromon then shifted his focus once more to Mimi, but was tackled out of the way by a newly-arrived Kabuterimon before he could get close to her. While Kabuterimon was able to hold him in place for a moment, Andromon easily threw him off afterwards, then shot him with his Gatling Missiles which were enough to defeat Kabuterimon.
After that, he tried to use Spiral Sword on Mimi, but he was once again stopped, this time by Greymon's Mega Flame. It did no damage, however, and a second Mega Flame was easily cut in half by another Spiral Sword, which also knocked Greymon down and made Yagami Taichi fall off his head. Greymon then evolved into Metal Greymon, but his bigger size played against him, and he was barely able to move in the cramped factory space, which allowed Andromon to easily dodge him. To counter that, Palmon rejoined the battle, evolving into Togemon and using her Chikuchiku Bang Bang to stop Andromon from moving, thus getting him hit by Metal Greymon's Giga Storm. Despite the blow, Andromon got up again with inhuman movements, then shot his Gatling Missile Rensha Mode all over the place, blowing up the roof and making several pieces of scrap fall on top of Mimi. Metal Greymon and Togemon held them off from hitting her, which gave Andromon the perfect opportunity to kill the now defense-less Mimi. However, once again he was stopped, this time by Guardromon grabbing his leg. Andromon then stomped on Guardromon, but even as he lost consciousness, Guardromon refused to let go of Andromon while keeping its sight fixed on Mimi. However, it'd end up fully shutting down from the damage, and thus, let go of Andromon. Mimi's anger and sorrow about Guardromon's death then led Togemon to evolve for the first time into Lilimon.
Andromon attacked Lilimon with more Gatling Missiles, but she was easily able to dodge them, then kicked him in the head. He followed it with a Spiral Sword that was just as easily dodged, and due to Lilimon's petals, he was now unable to lock on to her. Nonetheless, he kept firing Gatling Missiles, though once again their bullets were dodged, before Lilimon decided to show Andromon Mimi's pain by shooting back with her Flow' Cannon, whose shots easily destroyed the Gatling Missiles before hitting the ground, from which they made vines grow that trapped Andromon. This cleared Soundbirdmon's brainwashing and let Andromon recover control over himself, though it was too late as he was now covered in moss and shut down, just like the rest of the factory, Guardromon included.
As Izumi Koshiro explained afterwards, Guardromon and Andromon were comrades initially, but their alliance was broken by Soundbirdmon controlling Andromon.
After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", two Hagurumon rotated around Andromon's body, with Guardromon's close, both still covered in moss.

Andromon is one of the Digital World's overseers. He is the leader of the resistance against Barbamon's army and the owner of the Machine/Mutant DigiMemory[61]. He put his hope in Tatsuno Tsurugi and Inui Yuu, telling the former about Rize Greymon and how he could break Barbamon's firewall[62], and helping the latter surpass his trauma from Dark Evolving his partner. He met his end in his battle against Chaosdramon after taking his Hyper Mugen Cannon, though not before taking down several Tankdramon.[63]
While deceased, he makes one final appearance during the fight with N.E.O, having left a "trap" inside his Machine/Mutant DigiMemory with his own will inside it. He managed to stop N.E.O, if temporarily, and pass on his hopes to the humans[64].

Andromon appears as an obtainable Perfect-level Vaccine type Digimon in Digimon World.
Andromon serves as the leader of the Factorial Town, where it'll spend most of the time in the Control Room trying to operate and solve the problems that are happening around the Town. When meeting the Player, Andromon won't listen to him, saying that he has no reason to be here. Once the Player is blocked by the two Guardromon at the east of the town, the Player must go back to Andromon and ask about the time shifts the Guardromon have, which is at the 12:00 hours, be either noon or midnight. When going there at that time, the Guardromon will be gone for the rest of the game and the Player can explore the areas beyond the Factorial Town. It's later revealed that Giromon is the true source of the problems in Factorial Town and head back to Andromon's control rooms, where it'll apologize for not listening to you, and it'd like to join the Village of Beginnings, but it's currently busy trying to fix all the problems caused by Giromon. Come back a few days after and Andromon will join the village, hanging in front of the Birdra Transport during the evening. Recruiting Andromon also lets you recruit the rest of the Digimon in Factorial Town you couldn't before, such as Numemon, Giromon and Metal Mamemon.
Meramon, Angemon, Centalmon, Leomon and Orgemon all can evolve into Andromon, in order to evolve into Andromon, your Digimon must meet the following criteria:
- At least 2000 HP, 4000 MP, 200 Offense, 400 Defense, 200 Speed and 400 Brains stat requirements
- Less than 5 Care Mistakes
- A Weight between 35 to 45g
- Bonus conditions: Battle more than 30 times, have a discipline of at least 95% and have at least more than 30 techniques mastered.
Andromon's evolution item are the Cyber Parts which lets any Adult Digimon evolve into Andromon.

Andromon manages the Fusion Shop, where players can fuse together cards to obtain new ones, or fuse them with their Partners for experience. Each Fusion Shop has its own Andromon, one per Area, with each of them being better than the previous one: Flame City's Andromon can only fuse Child-level Digimon cards and will tell you if a Digimon or an Option Card will be created, Pyramid City's Andromon can fuse up to Adult-level Digimon cards and will tell you the specific type of Digimon or Option Card the fusion will create, and Sage Tower's Andromon can fuse any card and will tell you the exact card that will be created. Once the player gets to a later Andromon, the previous ones will be able to fuse Digimon cards to the last Andromon's level, but they won't become more clear in what the fusion will produce.
Andromon can also be obtained as a Perfect-level Black/Darkness Card, whose stats are:

- +P: 10
- Circle attack: 690
- Triangle attack: 590
- X attack: 150
- Support Ability: Own HP are halved. Boost own attack power +400.
Andromon's attacks are Spiral Sword, Gatling Missile and Weak Slap.

Andromon is an obtainable Digimon which is evolved from Geo Greymon, Greymon, or Guardromon, and can evolve to Metal Etemon. It can also be obtained as a collectible card. Its card is part of the Machine Digimon (マシーンデジモン Mashīn Dejimon) set.

Yagami Taichi and the team chosen by the player (which can't contain Izumi Koshiro, as he leads the other team) find Andromon inside a factory in Episode 5, "Lightning! Kabuterimon", after hearing it grunting from behind a door. Upon crossing said door, they found the Perfect-level Digimon lying on the ground. Taichi thought he was a robot, only for Agumon to correct him, pointing out he's a good Digimon that, at the time, couldn't move. However, Andromon suddenly starts moving afterwards, and identifies the Chosen Children as intruders, which makes Taichi doubt he's a good Digimon and tell the others to run away.
After the Chosen Children reunite, Andromon appears behind them, as he had been chasing Taichi's group. They run away through a bridge, but find themselves stuck in the roof with no way to leave. Agumon and Gabumon evolve into Greymon and Garurumon to fight him, only for Andromon to easily defeat them with a single Spiral Sword, causing Takenouchi Sora to remark the difference in power and speed between Andromon and the Chosen Children's Partner Digimon. Both Adult-level Digimon soon devolve, and Koshiro decides to try the program he had seen earlier in the factory, which causes Tentomon's body to fill with power, and then Tentomon evolves for the first time into Kabuterimon.
Andromon is the fifth obligatory boss of the game, fighting the Chosen Children at the end of Episode 5, "Lightning! Kabuterimon". For the battle, as in the anime, Tentomon will evolve for the first time into Kabuterimon for no SP cost and remain in the form for the battle. Andromon can deal low damage to one party Digimon with Weak Slap or significantly higher damage to one party Digimon with Spiral Sword.
Upon being defeated, a Black Gear leaves Andromon's body, and Andromon returns to his normal self. As thanks for saving him, Andromon tells the Chosen Children how to leave the factory, through the underground sewers, as well as wishing them luck and hoping they can go back to the Real World.
An Andromon was one of the spectators of the Colosseum's DigiOne Grand Prix in Sub-Episode 10, "DigiOne Grand Prix".
