A very keen Digimon, it can accelerate up to 98 percent of the speed of light, so there are no Digimon who can rival Rinkmon with their speed. However, because its power is weak in contrast to its outstanding speed, its fighting and hand-to-hand combat have a weak side to them. Design allusions to Jet Link that are present in this Digimon include its headgear's long, swept-back shape ending in spikes (resembling Jet Link's hair), its scarf (a common design motif in Ishinomori characters), and the two yellow dots on its chestplate. They also share in common the ability to move at superhuman speeds, as well as a deficiency in strength and physical combat prowess (this is the case for Jet Link in the original manga, but not all subsequent adaptations). Rinkmon is also equipped with blades on its feet that resemble ice skates. Its name also alludes to this, given that ice skates are used on ice rinks.
