Digimon Xros Wars & The Evil Death General and the Seven Kingdoms

Kiriha is the General of Blue Flare, commanding his army through a blue Xros Loader. His principal partners are Greymon and Mail Birdramon, whom he combines through DigiXros into Metal Greymon. He initially pursues the Code Crowns independently of Xros Heart, placing him in competition with Kudou Taiki. Confident in his abilities as a commander, Kiriha values strength and military efficiency, frequently criticizing Taiki's willingness to endanger himself for others.

In Green Zone, Kiriha offers to help Taiki rescue Tsurugi Zenjirou on the condition that he joins his army. Taiki refuses, establishing a rivalry between the two Generals. Although Kiriha repeatedly attempts to bring Taiki and his Digimon under his command, the two also cooperate against the Bagra Army. Their encounters gradually lead Kiriha to acknowledge Taiki's abilities, even as he continues to question his priorities.

Kiriha also works with Amano Nene, whose information helps him pursue his objectives. In Forest Zone, he becomes involved in the struggle surrounding Deckerdramon, who ultimately joins Blue Flare. His rivalry with Taiki is further complicated by Dark Knightmon, who exploits his desire for greater power. Nevertheless, Kiriha continues to fight against the Bagra Army and joins Taiki during the confrontation with Tactimon in Sword Zone.

After Bagramon seizes the Code Crowns and reorganizes the Digital World into seven Lands, Kiriha remains in the Digital World. When Taiki returns, the two reunite in Dragon Land, where Blue Flare is fighting Dorbickmon. Their initial disagreement over how to confront the Death General gives way to cooperation, and Kiriha obtains the power to Super Evolve Metal Greymon into Zeke Greymon.

Kiriha subsequently travels with Taiki and Nene to liberate the remaining kingdoms. In Vampire Land, Metal Greymon is absorbed by Neo Vamdemon, but continues resisting from within. During the ensuing battle, Kiriha and Taiki combine Zeke Greymon and Omega Shoutmon into Shoutmon DX, allowing them to defeat the Death General. Their growing cooperation makes DigiXros between the two armies an important part of their campaign.

Despite this alliance, Kiriha remains impatient with Taiki's decisions and sensitive to any suggestion that he is weaker than him. In Canyon Land, Gravimon exploits these insecurities and the teachings of Kiriha's late father, who had insisted that strength was necessary to survive. Under Gravimon's influence, Kiriha turns against Taiki and attacks even Deckerdramon when he attempts to intervene.

Deckerdramon's sacrifice forces Kiriha to confront the loneliness underlying his pursuit of power. Through his partner's final words and Taiki's determination to reach him, Kiriha recognizes that his companions' affection is a source of strength. He reconciles with Taiki and Nene, and the three Generals unite their Digimon into Shoutmon X7. With their cooperation restored, they defeat Gravimon and continue their campaign.

Kiriha remains with the allied army through the battles in Bright Land and the final confrontation with Bagramon and Dark Knightmon. When D5 threatens the Real World, he fights alongside the other Generals to stop Darkness Bagramon. Blue Flare's Digimon contribute to the Final Xros that creates Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode, whose victory ends the war. Kiriha subsequently returns to the Real World with the other humans.

Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time

Kiriha makes a few appearances closer to the end of the series. Apparently he has been spending a lot of his time abroad (mostly in America) hunting stray digimon that have wandered outside of Japan's borders within DigiQuartz.

Digimon Xros Wars

Kiriha is the General of Blue Flare, using a blue Xros Loader to command his Digimon and perform DigiXros. His principal partners, Greymon and Mail Birdramon, combine into Metal Greymon. Initially a rival of Kudou Taiki, Kiriha gradually becomes an ally of Xros Heart in the war against the Bagra Army.

Kiriha's cooperation with Xros Heart allows him to command combinations involving Digimon from both armies. During the assault on Dark Knightmon's fortress, he DigiXrosses Metal Greymon with Ballistamon and Dorulumon into Rampage Greymon. Its attack on the defending army provides a distraction for Hinomoto Akari and Tsurugi Zenjirou to infiltrate the castle.

His relationship with Amano Nene also becomes an important part of the conflict. After Nene is forcibly combined with Shademon in place of her younger sister, Amano Kotone, rescuing her becomes one of the allied Generals' objectives. Kiriha later works with Kotone to reach Nene within Moon Millenniumon, helping free her from Shademon's control during the confrontation with Zeed Millenniumon.

As the war escalates, Kiriha contributes Blue Flare's power to the allied army's strongest DigiXroses. Zeke Greymon becomes a component of Shoutmon EX6, alongside Omega Shoutmon, Atlur Ballistamon, Yaeger Dorulumon, and Raptor Sparrowmon. This combined force, supported by Shooting Starmon, defeats Tactimon.

Kiriha also participates in the final struggle against Zeed Millenniumon and the Digimon released when its DigiXros is undone. Together with Taiki and the other allies, he contributes to the Final Xros that creates Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode, allowing them to defeat Ultimate Chaosmon and bring the war to an end.

Miscellaneous

Digimon Xros Wars DIGIMON EXPO'25 Reading Drama

Kiriha, Shoutmon, Dorulumon and Hinomoto Akari appeared after Kudou Taiki and all of which said something about the situation. Akashi Tagiru then wondered why Amano Nene wasn't there. Amano Yuu explained that, during their final battle, Kiriha had fought alongside legendary heroes that were all pretty girls, which left Nene in a sour mood. He then asked Kiriha to do something about it but Kiriha just bashfully asked him not to talk about his personal matters so lightly. Taiki said Kiriha was the type to be surrounded by girls, which annoyed him as Taiki was exactly that himself. However, Yuu pointed out that Taiki may attract women, but he had eyes only for his "main wife", Akari, and he came across as far more steady than Kiriha. Taiki was left shocked by that, Shoutmon pointed out Yuu's tongue had gotten even sharper since they last met, and Akari was extremely happy about being Taiki's "main wife", as Dorulumon pointed out. Kiriha felt no one took his side.

The Old Clock Shop Man then interrupted their conversation to explain the target of their hunt: the illusory Digimon, Sakuradamon. As their fight began, Tagiru said they had to hunt it and Taiki called everyone to Super Evolve. As Tagiru Chikara! played, Tagiru, Yuu, Taiki and Kiriha super evolved their Partner Digimon (Gumdramon > Arresterdramon, Damemon > Tuwarmon, Shoutmon/Shoutmon (King Ver.) > Omega Shoutmon, Metal Greymon > Zeke Greymon). However, despite all attacking at once (including Dorulumon), they couldn't hurt Sakuradamon at all. Arresterdramon was attacked separatedly but was saved by Mervamon. Arresterdramon wondered where she came from and Akari pointed out she Reloaded her, as she had a Xros Loader of her own now and brought everyone's Digimon with her. Yuu pointed out that Nene giving Akari her Digimon meant she must be really mad at Kiriha, but Kiriha just asked him to postpone that conversation and called to Taiki, who himself told everyone to go for a Great Xros. Tagiru wondered if they could do it and the Old Clock Shop Man confirmed there were no restrictions on Reloading anymore as DigiQuartz had been eliminated. This made Tagiru realize that Taiki had had Shoutmon and Dorulumon out together all this time. Arresterdramon was overjoyed he got to DigiXros with his king. Taiki called everyone to give their power to Shoutmon. With WE ARE Xros Heart! (ver. X7) playing, Taiki (Omega Shoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon), Kiriha (Zeke Greymon), Akari (Sparrowmon, Starmons, Mervamon), Yuu (Tuwarmon) and Tagiru (Arresterdramon) Great Xrossed their Digimon into Shoutmon X10. Shoutmon X10 then used his Tens Victorize which one-shot Sakuradamon, Taiki called Tagiru to capture it once it turned into data, and Tagiru did so. The Old Clock Shop Man then took Sakuradamon's data so it could be reborn as a Digitama in the future.

With the battle finished, Kiriha pointed out they went through a harsh battle that would've been impossible if any of them were missing, though Yuu pointed out he would've been more at ease with his sister there. Kiriha swore he'd properly explain himself to Nene, which made Damemon think he was no good too. This made everyone laugh.

Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Blue

Kiriha appears as the rival General in Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Blue, leading Blue Flare in the LS-tou Zone. Seeking greater power, he pursues Spadamon, bringing him into conflict with Taiki and Xros Heart. Outside Sky Fort, he demands that they hand Spadamon over, but withdraws when Wizarmon traps the group.

Taiki later encounters Kiriha and Mail Birdramon operating a Pathfinder Device to reach Lost Space. Despite Mail Birdramon's initial hesitation and Xros Heart's intervention, Kiriha insists that he has no alternative and orders Greymon and Mail Birdramon to fight them. Even after their defeat, he continues the connection. Spadamon rejects the link and overloads the device, causing an explosion that transports Taiki and his companions to Spider Nest Ruins. When they encounter Kiriha there again, Taiki offers to listen to him, but Kiriha maintains that power can change everything and leaves.

In Crystal Volcano, Kiriha and his Digimon confront the party while behaving abnormally. Kiriha declares that he must overcome his sorrow, while Taiki tries to bring him back to his senses. After Greymon and Mail Birdramon are defeated, they recover and return to his Xros Loader. Kiriha also regains his composure and recalls a black shadow proposing that they cooperate to obtain the ancient legendary weapon. When Shoutmon suspects that he has joined ROG, Kiriha denies it, insisting that he submits to no one.

Kiriha explains that he has been investigating ROG's activities and believes that it intends to revive a Weapon Digimon, which must be prevented. Recognizing Spadamon, he urges it to become stronger so that it can recover what it has lost. He then leaves for Earth Fort, prompting Taiki and his companions to follow.

At Earth Fort, Kiriha initially insists on confronting Zeed Millenniumon himself. Taiki urges him to remain calm and consider a strategy, reminding him that his Digimon are exhausted. Kiriha acknowledges that he has become carried away and shares what he knows: the legendary weapon is a Weapon Digimon that once protected the Zone alongside Dynasmon. He does not know where Dynasmon has gone or why the Weapon Digimon was sealed. With Greymon and Mail Birdramon unable to fight, he asks Taiki to stop Zeed Millenniumon.

After Zeed Millenniumon's defeat, the shadow absorbs it and reveals itself as Barbamon. Kiriha recognizes it and realizes that he fell under its illusion technique. Barbamon claims that Blue Flare helped it activate the Condenser Towers and lure Spadamon and its companions. When it attacks the group, Kiriha challenges it directly, but Barbamon immobilizes him and expels him from the Zone to prevent him from sharing further information. Before disappearing, Kiriha maintains that he will never submit and entrusts the situation to Taiki and Xros Heart.

Dynasmon later examines the data from Kiriha's expulsion and concludes that he is probably safe. However, it cannot determine his destination, which lies beyond the reach of its power.

Greymon and Mail Birdramon remain at Earth Fort, explaining that Kiriha had released them from his Xros Loader and instructed them to help Taiki if anything happened to him. Both can then join the player's army while awaiting Kiriha's return. They can participate in original DigiXros combinations with Xros Heart's Digimon, including Shoutmon X3GM.
