Digimon Frontier: Revival of the Ancient Digimon!![edit]
Ornismon is an enormous ancient Digimon. In ancient times, it went on a rampage through the Digital World, until Ancient Greymon and Ancient Garurumon defeated it and sealed it away in the Wandering Island. A temple was constructed documenting these events, and the means of resurrecting Ornismon in a mural, but over time, the story was distorted and Ornismon was misremembered as the benevolent guardian deity of the Wandering Island. At some point, Murmukusmon found and destroyed the mural, and began to scheme to break the seal so that he could use Ornismon to rule over the Digital World.
In the present day, Bearmon, Kotemon, Bokomon, Orimoto Izumi, Shibayama Junpei and Himi Tomoki attempt to reassemble the mural in the hope of stopping the war between the Human and Beast Digimon. However, they discover its true meaning: that hatred and Digicode will cause Ornismon's resurrection, and conclude that someone is causing the war to revive Ornismon.
When the Chosen Children attempt to expose this fraud, Murmukusmon reveals himself as the one behind the war, using the disguises of Darcmon and Hippogriffomon. However, the Chosen Children had come too late, as at that moment the war had produced enough Digicode for Murmukusmon to use to revive Ornismon. Under Murmukusmon's direction, Ornismon begins an attack on the island. Kotemon dies in the attack, and in response to Bearmon's grief, Ancient Greymon and Ancient Garurumon are also temporarily revived. With the assistance of the Chosen Children, the two ancient Digimon destroy Ornismon.
