Twilight (トワイライト Towairaito), known as Midnight in the English dub, is a Digimon Army in Digimon Xros Wars. Although Amano Nene initially appears to lead it as its General, the army is secretly controlled by Skull Knightmon, who forms Dark Knightmon through DigiXros with Deadly Axemon. After Nene learns the truth, she and the members loyal to her leave Twilight and join Xros Heart. The remaining forces become part of the Bagra Army, with Amano Yuu later serving as their General in the anime.
Description[edit]
Twilight initially presents itself as a Digimon army led by Nene. Its members include her partner Sparrowmon and the Monitamon who accompany her, alongside Skull Knightmon and Deadly Axemon. Skull Knightmon, however, directs the army for his own purposes while concealing the extent of his control from Nene.
When Nene breaks away from Skull Knightmon, Twilight divides. Sparrowmon and the Digimon loyal to Nene accompany her to Xros Heart, while Skull Knightmon's faction becomes part of the Bagra Army. In the anime, Skull Knightmon subsequently uses Yuu as the faction's General. The manga presents a different account of Twilight and Nene's family.

Digimon Xros Wars & The Evil Death General and the Seven Kingdoms[edit]
Twilight first appears as a third army alongside Xros Heart and Blue Flare, with Nene acting as its General. Her apparent leadership conceals Skull Knightmon's control of the army. After Nene leaves with Sparrowmon and her loyal companions, Skull Knightmon continues his plans through the forces aligned with the Bagra Army and later manipulates Yuu into acting as their General.

The manga features a separate version of Twilight. Skull Knightmon manipulates Nene and seeks to use the power of her younger sister, Amano Kotone, as part of his plans. Kotone replaces Yuu in this continuity.

Twilight is a trait given to both Digimon and Tamer cards in the Digimon Card Game, introduced in BT-10 Xros Encounter. It is given to Digimon (such as BT10-066 Dark Knightmon) and Tamers (such as BT10-092 Amano Nene) that were part of the Twilight army in the Digimon Xros Wars anime and manga. Twilight cards focus mostly on searching and supporting the various forms of Dark Knightmon.
