A Digimon with no substance that haunts the shadows of humans and Digimon. It feeds on the despair of the haunted opponent and transforms it into its own nourishment, and it is said that which fiendish Digimon it evolves to varies by the amount ingested. Its Special Moves are continuously displaying illusions of being knocked to the ground 10000 times (Free Death Fall), and manipulating the surrounding Digimon to assault the enemy who is being haunted (Kill Me).

Digimon Xros Wars[edit]

Shademon is a Digimon used by Dark Knightmon in his attempt at obtaining ultimate power by gaining the Darkness Loader. His original plan was to forcefully fuse Shademon with Amano Kotone, but Amano Nene interfered and fused with Shademon instead. Shademon remained in control of the new fused form and was apparently loyal to Dark Knightmon. However, during the final battle, Shademon betrayed Dark Knightmon and DigiXrosed him with Millenniumon to create Zeed Millenniumon. In the process Shademon was integrated into Moon Millenniumon along with Nene. When Zeed Millenniumon was defeated, Shademon evolved into Luminamon due to the light and hope regained by human hearts.

Digimon Liberator[edit]

Close used a BT5-065 Shademon during her fight against Kinosaki Arisa in "STAND BY ME (Part 2)". It was already on the field by the time the chapter began, and was deleted by EX9-033 Kaguyamon's effect during the last turn of the match.

According to Tips 26: Battle Coverage (9) VS. Pyramidimon, this card was not originally part of Close's deck, which focuses on the synergy between the Rock and Mineral types, and was instead added to it by Unchain after taking control of her. Said card may have been also responsible for Sunarizamon not reacting at all during the battle.
