Digimon Xros Wars & The Evil Death General and the Seven Kingdoms

Akari is Kudou Taiki's childhood friend and frequently looks after him when his eagerness to help others causes him to neglect his own wellbeing. While accompanying him and Tsurugi Zenjirou, she is drawn into the Digital World after Taiki answers the call of the dying Shoutmon. The three arrive in Green Zone, where they become involved in the inhabitants' struggle against the Bagra Army.

Initially, Akari prioritizes finding a way home and is uneasy about Taiki becoming involved in another world's war. She also questions Shoutmon's attempts to keep him in the Digital World to help achieve his ambition of becoming the Digimon King. Nevertheless, as she comes to understand the danger facing their new companions, she becomes a member of Xros Heart and supports its efforts to protect the inhabitants of the Zones.

Throughout the journey, Akari remains attentive to Taiki's tendency to push himself beyond his limits. Although she does not possess a Xros Loader, she assists the army alongside Zenjirou and its Digimon, helping their companions through the dangers they encounter. Her concern for returning home gradually coexists with her growing attachment to the Digimon and commitment to their cause.

In Shinobi Zone, Akari and Amano Nene perform a comedy routine for Karatenmon, whose condition for surrendering the Code Crown is that someone make him laugh. Their performance succeeds after the other members of the group fail, allowing Xros Heart to obtain the Code Crown.

Following the confrontation in Sword Zone, Bagramon sends Akari, Taiki, Zenjirou, and Shoutmon back to the Real World. However, their return is interrupted by Tactimon's attack on Tokyo. Akari refuses to abandon their Digimon companion, and her courage, together with Zenjirou's friendship, gives Taiki's Xros Loader the power to evolve Shoutmon into Omega Shoutmon. With this new power, he defeats Tactimon.

When Omegamon explains that the Digital World has fallen under Bagramon's rule, Akari intends to accompany Taiki back. However, Omegamon only has enough power to send one human through the portal. Akari and Zenjirou therefore remain in the Real World, entrusting the rescue of their Digimon friends to Taiki and resolving to do what they can from their own world.

Akari becomes involved in the conflict again when Bagramon activates D5. She and Zenjirou encounter the DigiMemories of Examon and War Greymon, whose protective barrier prevents them from being petrified with the other humans. They subsequently locate Taiki, Nene, Aonuma Kiriha, and Amano Yuu, bringing them into the barrier.

During the final battle, Akari accompanies Taiki and Cutemon into the Dark Stone within Darkness Bagramon, using the combined power of the DigiMemories to reach Shoutmon. After his rescue, she joins the other humans in supporting the Final Xros that creates Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode. Darkness Bagramon's defeat ends the threat to both worlds and allows Akari and her companions to return to their everyday lives.

Digimon Xros Wars

Akari accompanies Kudou Taiki and Tsurugi Zenjirou into the Digital World and becomes a member of Xros Heart. As Taiki's childhood friend, she is familiar with his tendency to disregard his own safety when helping others and continues looking after him throughout their journey. Although initially without a Xros Loader, she actively assists the army in its struggle against the Bagra Army.

During the assault on Dark Knightmon's fortress, Akari and Zenjirou infiltrate the castle while Aonuma Kiriha distracts its defenders. Kiriha combines Metal Greymon, Ballistamon, and Dorulumon into Rampage Greymon, whose attack provides the opening they need to enter.

Akari later returns to the Real World with Taiki and several of their Digimon companions. Wizarmon disguises the Digimon as humans, allowing them to accompany their friends in everyday surroundings. However, the conflict with the Bagra Army continues, drawing Akari and the others back into the struggle to protect both worlds.

As the war approaches its final stage, Akari obtains a peach-colored Xros Loader and becomes a General, with Dorulumon as her Partner Digimon. Their partnership allows Dorulumon to Super Evolve into Yaeger Dorulumon, giving Akari a direct role in commanding Xros Heart's forces.

Akari joins the other Generals in the battle against Tactimon, contributing Yaeger Dorulumon to the DigiXros that creates Shoutmon EX6. Together with Shooting Starmon, this combined force defeats the Bagra Army commander.

She continues fighting alongside her companions during the confrontation with Zeed Millenniumon and the subsequent release of the Digimon contained within it. In the final battle against Ultimate Chaosmon, Akari contributes her partner's power to the Final Xros that creates Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode, helping bring the war to an end.

Aonuma Kiriha, Shoutmon, Dorulumon and Akari appeared after Kudou Taiki and all of which said something about the situation. Tagiru then wondered why Tsurugi Zenjirou wasn't with them and Taiki and Akari answered, in perfect harmony, he was too much of a pain so they left him behind. Tagiru agreed with that but then wondered why Amano Nene wasn't there either. Yuu explained that, during their final battle, Kiriha had fought alongside legendary heroes that were all pretty girls, which left Nene in a sour mood. He then asked Kiriha to do something about it but Kiriha just bashfully asked him not to talk about his personal matters so lightly. Taiki said Kiriha was the type to be surrounded by girls, which annoyed him as Taiki was exactly that himself. However, Yuu pointed out that Taiki may attract women, but he had eyes only for his "main wife", Akari, and he came across as far more steady than Kiriha. Taiki was left shocked by that, Shoutmon pointed out Yuu's tongue had gotten even sharper since they last met, and Akari was extremely happy about being Taiki's "main wife", as Dorulumon pointed out. Kiriha felt no one took his side.

The Old Clock Shop Man then interrupted their conversation to explain the target of their hunt: the illusory Digimon, Sakuradamon, a Sakurada Digimon, something Akari had no idea about. From his explanation, Taiki realized that meant Sakuradamon could cause lots of trouble, something that was proven true immediately as they heard an explosion coming from Jinbōchō. Said explosion was indeed caused by Sakuradamon, which Akari and Tagiru pointed out was both huge and making a very scary face, which made the latter wonder how this was meant to be a good-natured Digimon, which the Old Clock Shop Man pointed out had to be caused by a really bad restaurant, one Yuu never wanted to go to. During their fight, Arresterdramon was attacked separatedly but was saved by Mervamon. Arresterdramon wondered where she came from and Akari pointed out she Reloaded her, as she had a Xros Loader of her own now and brought everyone's Digimon with her. Yuu pointed out that Nene giving Akari her Digimon meant she must be really mad at Kiriha, but Kiriha just asked him to postpone that conversation and called to Taiki, who himself told everyone to go for a Great Xros. Tagiru wondered if they could do it and the Old Clock Shop Man confirmed there were no restrictions on Reloading anymore as DigiQuartz had been eliminated. This made Tagiru realize that Taiki had had Shoutmon and Dorulumon out together all this time. Arresterdramon was overjoyed he got to DigiXros with his king. Taiki called everyone to give their power to Shoutmon. With WE ARE Xros Heart! (ver. X7) playing, Taiki (Omega Shoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon), Kiriha (Zeke Greymon), Akari (Sparrowmon, Starmons, Mervamon), Yuu (Tuwarmon) and Tagiru (Arresterdramon) Great Xrossed their Digimon into Shoutmon X10 who used his Tens Victorize which one-shot Sakuradamon.

With the battle finished, Akari then called everyone to go back to their time before Taiki pushed himself too hard and collapsed again. Taiki whined he was fine, but Shoutmon pointed out that only meant he wasn't.

Akari is transported to the LS-tou Zone alongside Taiki and their companions. After their arrival, she helps distribute the supplies obtained by Dorulumon. The group becomes involved in protecting Spadamon from ROG, but Wizarmon traps them outside Sky Fort, and they are taken prisoner.

After Xros Heart takes control of Sky Fort, Akari remains there to help its inhabitants while Taiki explores the Zone. She encourages him to rest as the fort travels towards the central continent and explains that its movement is responsible for the unsteadiness he feels upon waking. She also reminds him to use tents or the fort's recovery beds when his Digimon need to recover.

In Red, Akari notices that Nene is behaving strangely during their initial confrontation and remarks that she appears not to recognize her companions.

When Taiki returns after the Protect Field surrounding Sky Fort has been removed, Akari welcomes him and confirms that everyone who remained there is safe. She reports that a large shadow, which Taiki identifies as Barbamon, passed through without showing interest in them and headed towards Sky Garden. While Taiki and his companions investigate, she stays at the fort with Zenjirou and Patamon in case the Digimon that hid from ROG return.

Following the final battle, Akari explains that a violent tremor and a noise resembling an explosion preceded Taiki and Shoutmon's sudden return to Sky Fort. Trivia

• At the "Hypnos Meeting 2019", Nakashima Yuuki responded to a fan that if Mervamon had been active in the manga's plot, she might have joined Akari or Amano Kotone, since Nene doesn't join the group halfway through the story, like in the anime.
