Xros Wars (Concept)

The Xros Wars (クロスウォーズ Kurosu Wōzu) was a conflict orchestrated by Bagramon in the Digimon Xros Wars manga. Its purpose was to test the potential of humans and determine whether the bonds between humans and Digimon could restore hope to a world in which the natural evolution of Digimon had ceased.

History

Following the deactivation of Yggdrasill, Homeostasis became responsible for maintaining the balance of the Digital World. Bagramon, who was originally a high-ranking Angel Digimon, became concerned that the despair spreading among humans was giving rise to an increasing number of evil Digimon. Furthermore, as humans gradually stopped pursuing their dreams, Digimon lost the ability to evolve naturally.

Bagramon brought the matter before Homeostasis, but his proposed solution was rejected and he was subsequently banished from the Realm of God. He later came across the remains of Yggdrasill and used part of its sacred wood to reconstruct the right half of his body. Through the knowledge he obtained from Yggdrasill, Bagramon devised the Xros Wars as a means of testing whether the bonds between humans and Digimon could bring about a new form of evolution.

To this end, Bagramon created the Xros Loaders and distributed them among a small number of Chosen Children who possessed the Xros Code, enabling them to perform DigiXros. These humans became Generals and formed their own armies, which fought both one another and the Bagra Army throughout the Digital World.

Bagramon also attempted to recruit the Seven Great Demon Lords to his cause. However, all of them rejected his proposal except for Lilithmon, who joined the Bagra Army as one of its Three Head Officers.
