However, Meramon is halted by the Player and a battle starts. After Meramon is defeated it'll apologize for the trouble caused and will join the Village of Beginnings, working in the Restaurant, along with Tyranomon, Yukidarumon, Garurumon, Vademon and Digitamamon. If none of the aforementioned Digimon was recruited, Meramon will build the Restaurant. After Meramon is recruited, the blocked path to the Mount Panorama will now be open.

Digimon Crusader[edit]
Digimon Adventure[edit]
Meramon appears in Episode 4, "Red Hot! Birdramon". It travels down from Outlook Mountain to the Pyocomon Village, screaming how it's burning which the Pyocomon consider out of character for him. Once Meramon finally descends, Agumon, Gabumon and Piyomon try to fight him, but he absorbs their fire attacks. Afterwards, Piyomon evolves into Birdramon.
Meramon is the fourth obligatory boss of the game, fighting the Chosen Children at the end of Episode 4, "Red Hot! Birdramon". For the battle, as in the anime, Piyomon will evolve for the first time into Birdramon for no SP cost and remain in the form for the battle. Meramon returns some damage through Revenge every time he's hit and can deal higher damage to one party Digimon with Burning Fist or deal multiple hits to all the party with Heat Wave.
After Meramon is defeated, the Black Gear leaves his body, and the Chosen Children realize that it was the cause of Meramon's berserk state. Afterwards, he shows no memory of what happened since the Black Gear entered his body, and the Pyocomon accept him once again as their guardian.
Leomon, Mojyamon, Yukidarumon, Meramon, Elecmon and Centalmon offered to help the Chosen Children reach Server Continent in Episode 19, "Departure – to a New Continent!". The Chosen Children found Meramon and Yukidarumon deep into the forest, arguing on who was the rightful owner of a DigiPiece Yukidarumon found, but Meramon called dibs on due to climbing the tree where it originally was. They then forced Yagami Taichi to decide who should keep it. Regardless of who Taichi chooses, they decide to give the DigiPiece to him, but said DigiPiece changes due to their holder. If Meramon is chosen, Taichi will receive an ATK Boost III DigiPiece, while if Yukidarumon is chosen, Taichi will receive a DEF Boost III DigiPiece instead. If talked to again, Yukidarumon complains about the climate being too hot, while Meramon thinks it's colder than usual instead, which makes Taichi think that being differently-typed Digimon must be hard.
Another Meramon was one of the DigiOne Grand Prix contestants that the Chosen Children met outside the Colosseum in Sub-Episode 10, "DigiOne Grand Prix", and the only one the Chosen Children could interact with. He told them he had been training for a year for the event and was sure he would win. The Chosen Children fight him as the final battle of the DigiOne Grand Prix, alongside a Yukidarumon and an Elecmon, where he uses the same moves as the previous boss Meramon and can also use Revenge.
Taichi and Koromon see a Meramon in the news in the Real World in Episode 25, "Koromon, the Great Clash in Tokyo!", apparently the cause of a lack of rains in Southeast Asia.
A Meramon appeared inside the Tower in Sub-Episode 16, "Snowglobe", which happens after Episode 44, "Pump and Gottsu are Shibuya-type Digimon". He stopped Taichi from buying a snowglobe. Taichi realized it was not the Meramon they had met at Pyocomon Village. The Meramon was mad at how cold it was inside the Tower and was ready to hurt people, so Taichi and Agumon went to stop him.
This Meramon is the final boss of Sub-Episode 16, "Snowglobe". He's identical to the previous Meramon fight, if significantly stronger.
After the fight, Meramon apologized, as it was so hot outside that he let the heat get to his head. Agumon asked him to be careful as this wasn't the Digital World. Taichi then realized the snowglobe had broken, and Meramon gave him a Skill Guard DigiPiece, which lowers the chance of Skill Seal on the equipped Digimon, as an apology.
Yukidarumon and Meramon joined Kido Jo and Tachikawa Mimi's alliance against the Dark Masters prior to Episode 60, "Fight with Darkness". After the rest found Mimi food and cola, Yukidarumon cooled down the cola and Meramon started a fire and cooked the food, making Orgemon realize how useful they were.
After Piemon summoned a group of Evilmon to surround the Chosen Children in Episode 61, "The Clown from Hell, Piemon", they were all blown away by a Haouken from Orgemon, who had arrived alongside Gekomon, Otamamon, Yukidarumon, Meramon and Elecmon. Orgemon was excited to take the Evilmon on, to Piemon's anger. The group decided to take on the small fries themselves while the Chosen Children dealt with Piemon.
Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]
Meramon is the owner and chef of the Village of Beginnings Restaurant. However, it left the Village before the game began, and due to that the Restaurant closed. Taiga met Meramon at Signpost Woods, where he explained he was looking for ingredients but couldn't move as it could start a forest fire. It sought five Green Digimushrooms, which could only be found in the Woods. It normally would ask other Digimon to search for ingredients, but said Digimon left the Village, so Taiga offered to do it instead. After receiving the five Green Digimushrooms, Meramon returns to the Restaurant and reopens it, where Taiga can buy food for his Partner Digimon which increases its stats. It also sends Taiga a mail with a Sirloin attached. Meramon can also be fought in the Colosseum 1st floor Tournament: "Village of Beginnings Cup" afterwards, alongside other Digimon who work in it.
A Blue Meramon and a Meramon are fought in the Colosseum 30th floor Free Battle: "The Twin-Tamers", alongside their Tamers, Jun and Junji. This awards Taiga a Meramon and a Blue Meramon card. A Meramon and a Kuwagamon are fought in the 30th floor Free Battle: "My son is very strong", alongside their Tamers, Healthy and Habanero.
