Anime[edit]
Digimon Frontier[edit]
Vritramon is Kanbara Takuya's Beast Form Hybrid form, which he Spirit Evolves into by using the Beast Spirit of Fire. Unlike other Hybrids in Digimon Frontier, Takuya is not the only individual to ever take this form, as on one occasion, the fortuneteller Shamamon also becomes Vritramon.
In "Defeat Me! Legendary Warrior Vritramon Runs Wild" , during an attack by Grottemon on the Beast Spirit of Fire's temple in the fortune-teller village, the Spirit reveals itself to Shamamon and bonds to him against his will, forcing him to become Vritramon. Shamamon is unable to control the Vritramon form and goes on a rampage, destroys Golemon and scares Grottemon away, and then begs the Chosen Children to stop him and free him from the Spirit. Takuya (as Agnimon) subdues him and scans the Beast Spirit. However, it immediately forces him to become Vritramon as well, and he is equally unable to control the form, and he also goes on a rampage and madly attacks the other Chosen Children.
In "Roar Vritramon! Defeat Gigasmon!" , Takuya struggles to take control of the Vritramon form. He overpowers Minamoto Kouji (as Garmmon) and Shibayama Junpei (as Blitzmon), ignites a forest fire, and attacks Himi Tomoki. Tomoki's pleas get through to Takuya, and he devolves, ashamed of having nearly hurt Tomoki. Later, when Grottemon returns, traps the other Chosen Children in quicksand, and abducts Tomoki, Tomoki inspires Takuya to take the risk and use the Beast Spirit again to become Vritramon. This time, Takuya overcomes his difficulty controlling the Beast Spirit and defeats Grottemon (as Gigasmon).
Digimon Frontier: Revival of the Ancient Digimon!![edit]
Vritramon is Kanbara Takuya's Beast Form Hybrid form, which he Spirit Evolves into by using the Beast Spirit of Fire. Takuya takes this form during the final battle between the Human Digimon and Beast Digimon armies, to attempt to stop the battle.

However, since the Beast Spirit of Fire item required to evolve into it is still not present in Cyber Sleuth and cannot be transferred over, the player is unable to evolve any Vritramons in Cyber Sleuth itself and has no other option to access it except transfer (aside from converting one that has already been transferred over into Scan Data and then Digiconverting it back again).
Otherwise, Vritramon only appears as a collectable Digimon Medal.
