The Beast Spirit of Fire (炎のビーストスピリット Honō no Bīsuto Supiritto), also known as the Spirit of Fire B (炎のスピリットB Honō no Supiritto Bī) is one of the twenty Legendary Spirits. It contains the power of Ancient Greymon of the Warrior Ten, and allows its user to evolve into the Beast Form Hybrid Digimon Vritramon.

According to Baromon, the Beast Spirit of Fire is one of the Spirits that was given to Ofanimon after the Warrior Ten defeated Lucemon.[1] When Cherubimon turned evil and began his war, the Beast Spirit of Fire was hidden in a temple. The fortune-teller Shamamon came to occupy the temple, and a community of other, fraudulent fortune-tellers developed around its base.[2]
When Grottemon and his Golemon minion attack the temple while the Chosen Children are visiting Shamamon, the Beast Spirit reveals itself to Shamamon. When he touches the Spirit, it Spirit Evolves him into Vritramon and takes control of him, making him run wild. Shamamon/Vritramon goes on a rampage, destroys Golemon and scares Grottemon away, and then begs the Chosen Children to stop him and free him from the Spirit. Kanbara Takuya (as Agnimon) subdues him and scans the Beast Spirit, but it also immediately forces him to become Vritramon. Takuya is also unable to control the Beast Spirit and madly attacks the other Chosen Children.[2] He overpowers Minamoto Kouji (as Garmmon) and Shibayama Junpei (as Blitzmon), ignites a forest fire, and attacks Himi Tomoki. Tomoki's pleas get through to Takuya, and he devolves, ashamed of having nearly hurt Tomoki. Later, when Grottemon returns, traps the other Chosen Children in quicksand, and abducts Tomoki, Tomoki inspires Takuya to take the risk and use the Beast Spirit again to become Vritramon. This time, Takuya manages to control the Beast Spirit and defeats Grottemon (as Gigasmon).[3]
Takuya continues to use the Spirit throughout the series without further difficulty controlling it. During his fight with Mercuremon in his Black Seraphimon form, Seraphimon's DigiTama releases some of its power to enable Takuya to combine the Beast Spirit with the Human Spirit of Fire to become Aldamon.[4]
During the battle against Cherubimon at the Rose Morning Star, Cherubimon subdues Takuya and takes his D-Scanner, along with all the Spirits in it, but Ofanimon steals all of the D-Scanners and Spirits back under the pretense of purifying Cherubimon and returns them to the Chosen Children. When Ofanimon upgrades Takuya's D-Scanner, he becomes able to use this Spirit with nine other Spirits to Hyper Spirit Evolve into Kaiser Greymon.[5]
In their last battles with Lucemon, the Chosen Children gain the ability to combine all twenty Spirits, including the Beast Spirit of Fire, to become Susanoomon.[6]

The Beast Spirit of Fire is an item that, once the player obtains it, allows any of the compatible Adult Digimon (Agnimon, Growmon, Birdramon, and Meramon) to evolve into Vritramon, as long as they also meet the other evolution requirements. The item is not consumed in the evolution, so Vritramon can be evolved into any number of times. This Spirit, along with the Beast Spirit of Light, is obtained in the "Territory Capture: Dinosaurists" case in Chapter 13. The Dinosaurists Leader's Vritramon and Garmmon drop these Spirits when they are defeated.
