Anime[edit]
Digimon Adventure[edit]
In "Cockatrimon, the Illusionary Ship's Captain!", a Cockatrimon appears as a servant of Etemon and as the captain of a ship sailing the desert. After the Chosen Children and their partners have boarded the ship, he starts a surprise attack and petrifies the Digimon. Afterwards, Cockatrimon takes the Tags of the Chosen Children and put them to roast in the sun. However, he misses Sora, Piyomon, Mimi and Palmon, as the girls were in the bathroom during his attack. When Coacktrimon encounters them, Piyomon and Palmon evolve to Birdramon and Togemon and defeat him, reversing the effect of his Petra Fire. After the other children are freed, they all leave the ship, but then Cockatrimon, who survived, chases them with the ship. However, it collides with a giant cactus, causing the vehicle to be catapulted into the air and explode. Cockatrimon is destroyed due to the explosion.
Digimon Frontier[edit]
Digimon Savers[edit]
In "I am Masaru! Cockatrimon Strikes", a Cockatrimon attacks a fast food restaurant, for which Agumon is initially blamed. Then, Masaru and Agumon fight it, but Agumon is wounded during the battle. Masaru physically attacks Cockatrimon, awakening his Digisoul, and with the Digivice iC given to him by Yushima Hiroshi, he makes Agumon evolve into Geo Greymon, who defeated Cockatrimon and reverted it to a Digitama.

Digimon Liberator[edit]
During their Friendly Battle in "DigitalGate Open", in later turns, Kazama Shoto evolved an unknown Digimon into a ST18-07 Cockatrimon but it was immediately defeated by Kinosaki Arisa's Ex-Tyranomon[N 1], itself also evolved from an unseen Digimon.
Cockatrimon is also Shoto's original Partner Digimon. He first evolved his Muchomon into it outside of battle in "SELECT FEW (Part 1)" through his Unique Emblem to chase Owen Dreadnought and Dimetromon as they hunted down a Maquinamon, though Cockatrimon was not fast enough to catch up with them.
Video Games[edit]
Digital Monster Ver. S[edit]
Digimon World[edit]
Cockatrimon appears as an obtainable Adult-level Vaccine type Digimon in Digimon World.
After the Player has cleared Tonosama Gekomon and Jyureimon's quests, Jyureimon will dissipate the fog of the Misty Trees. At the east of the forest, the Player will find several statues of Digimon that have been presumably petrified by a Cockatrimon. If the Player comes back to the screen at early morning, the Player will find a Cockatrimon which will engage the Player in a battle. After it is defeated, it joins the Village of Beginnings where it will build a statue of the Player in front of the Village's toilet, and another statue of the Player in the fountain of the main square.
Both Piyomon and Elecmon can evolve into Cockatrimon; in order to evolve into Cockatrimon, your Digimon must meet the following criteria:
- At least a 1000 HP stat requirement
- More than 3 Care Mistakes
- A Weight between 25 and 35g
- Bonus Conditions: Have Piyomon as a Partner and have at least 28 different techniques mastered.
Cockatrimon's evolution tem is the Rooster which lets any Child Digimon evolve into Cockatrimon.
Cockatrimon has 4 possible evolutions depending on the stats and Care Mistakes made:
- Hououmon (Cockatrimon can evolve into Hououmon naturally, but also via Death Evolution, which can be triggered by losing a battle, though this has a 50% chance of happening so it's recommended to save before trying it).
- Piccolomon
- Scumon (When its Poop Gauge is full).
- Vademon (When you scold it when its age reaches 15 days old, though this has a 50% chance of happening).
Finishing Technique – Petra Fire:
Cockatrimon's eyes flash, then it releases an array of a mysterious air that petrifies the enemy.

Digimon Adventure[edit]
Cockatrimon appeared in Episode 22, "Cockatrimon, the Illusionary Ship's Captain!". After the Chosen Children, except Takenouchi Sora and Tachikawa Mimi, tried to eat the food on the luxury liner they found in the desert, a group of Numemon attacked them, followed by Cockatrimon who petrified everyone. Cockatrimon then ambushed the remaining two Chosen Children on the deck of the ship. Sora realized he was working with Etemon and Mimi that he had taken everyone else's Tags, with Cockatrimon telling them he had put them all to sun-dry and threatened to do the same to Sora and Mimi.
Cockatrimon is the twenty-fourth obligatory boss of the game, fighting Piyomon and Palmon at the end of Episode 22, "Cockatrimon, the Illusionary Ship's Captain!". He can deal damage to the whole party with Again Star and deal damage, Break and Shock to one party member with Petra Fire. He can also power up after getting hit with Anger.
After the fight, Togemon sent Cockatrimon flying with a punch. Due to that, the petrified Chosen Children were freed and Cockatrimon's Numemon servants ran away.
Another Cockatrimon was one of the DigiOne Grand Prix contestants that the Chosen Children met outside the Colosseum in Sub-Episode 10, "DigiOne Grand Prix".
A Yukidarumon, a Cockatrimon and a Monzaemon ordered food from Vegimon in Digitamamon's Shop in Episode 27, "Oh Friend! Were Garurumon".
