A Bird Digimon that is unable to fly, just like Penmon. As a Digimon brought up in tropical southern countries, it leads an always happy life. It possesses a bursting enthusiasm and dances with the rhythm of the samba, and its most favorite thing is its richly colored pelt. Its Special Move is repeatedly pecking with its colorful beak (Tropical Beak).

A Muchomon is listed on Himekawa Maki's computer as one of the Digimon that was reborn as a result of the reboot.

In "Jyagamon, Potato Hell", two Muchomon appear as customers in the haven for travelling Digimon. Another Muchomon appears travelling on Petaldramon with two Puwamon in "Hikari and the Moving Forest" after their forest home was destroyed and eaten by Entmon. It reappears in "Hikari, New Life", "The Angels' Determination", "The Great Catastrophe, Negamon" and in "The End of the Adventure".

Digimon Ghost Game[edit]

A Muchomon first appears in "Kamaitachi" as a member of a group of Digimon that meet daily to exchange information. Angoramon is part of that group.

Digimon Liberator[edit]

Muchomon is Kazama Shoto's original Partner Digimon. It first appeared in "Welcome to LACUNA".

While soon replaced by Pteromon, Shoto used Muchomon again while he chased a Maquinamon in "SELECT FEW (Part 1)", where it showed the ability to evolve into Cockatrimon through Shoto's Unique Emblem.

Can evolve from Chicchimon at level 11 or higher and can evolve to Diatrymon at level 29 or higher with 150 or more Defense and 2,400 or more Bird experience or to Akatorimon at level 21 or higher with 70% or more Friendship and 700 or more Bird experience. Can be hatched from the Cloud Patterned Egg or found in Pallette Amazon.
