Digimon Adventure:[edit]
In "Jyagamon, Potato Hell", two Muchomon appear as customers in the haven for travelling Digimon.
Another Muchomon appears on Petaldramon in "Hikari and the Moving Forest". It tells the Chosen Children the name of the Digimon they are on top of, but then runs away from them alongside two Puwamon. After Agumon, Gabumon and Gomamon catch up to them, they explain that their forest home was destroyed and eaten by Entmon, which caused them to travel alongside Petaldramon as they had nowhere to go and motivated the latter to fight Entmon.
After Petaldramon sacrificed itself to defeat Entmon, a new forest was created from both, which became Muchomon and the Puwamons' new home.
Muchomon and the Puwamon reappear in "Hikari, New Life", still living in Petaldramon's forest, where they met Yagami Hikari, Tailmon, Takaishi Takeru, Patamon, Yagami Taichi and Agumon once again, and explained to them how the Digitama of the forest had their life stolen from them by a group of Soulmon. Afterwards, they joined Taichi, Agumon, Takeru and Patamon in protecting the Digitama while Hikari and Tailmon took care of the Soulmon.
Muchomon and the Puwamon reacted to the attack of a group of Soundbirdmon in "The Angels' Determination". Soon after, they talked to Hikari through the screens that appeared in front of them in "The Great Catastrophe, Negamon", where Muchomon showed worry about the state of the forest due to the void.
After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", Muchomon, alongside a Puwamon and an Arbormon who carried several Baby Digimon: a Nyokimon, a Puttimon, a Keemon, a Leafmon, a Bubbmon, a Jyarimon, a Hopmon, a Moonmon, a Poyomon, a Torikara Ballmon, a Relemon, a Pipimon, a Tsubumon, a Pururumon and an Upamon; found a Digitama in the forest, which quickly hatched into a Botamon.
