Digimon Xros Wars & The Evil Death General and the Seven Kingdoms

After Taiki recovers from playing in a basketball match, Zenjirou approaches him, only to discover that Taiki barely remembers him, much to his annoyance. Zenjirou has been trying to track him down ever since Taiki, then an amateur, defeated him in a kendo tournament, and now demands a rematch to settle the score. As Zenjirou and Hinomoto Akari begin arguing, Kudou Taiki hears a melody accompanied by a mysterious voice and sets out to find its source.

The three witness a strange phenomenon in which a car has crashed into a multi-storey building. When the car begins to fall, they jump out of its path, narrowly avoiding being crushed. After Taiki receives his Xros Loader, Zenjirou and Akari attempt to stop him from touching it, but all three are pulled into a tunnel-like digital space and transported to the Digital World.

Upon arriving in Green Zone, Zenjirou becomes involved in the Village of Smiles' struggle against the Bagra Army and joins Xros Heart. When Tactimon unleashes a Drimogemon that causes giant bamboo shoots to emerge beneath the village, Zenjirou is stranded at the top of one of them. Taiki combines the Starmons into a modified Star Sword and uses his Wrister to instruct Zenjirou to throw it toward a light marking the enemy's position underground. Zenjirou performs "Kōtō Slash" 「江東スラッシュ」, defeating Drimogemon and causing the bamboo shoots to disappear.

After Taiki obtains a fragment of Green Zone's Code Crown, Amano Nene appears before the group and explains the Code Crowns' significance. Zenjirou is immediately captivated by her beauty and subsequently shows a particular interest in helping her. Later, when Xros Heart assaults a fleet of Mantaraymon in Island Zone, he again wields the Star Sword, using "Kōtō-kiri" 「江東斬り」 against a group of Hangyomon.

Zenjirou continues supporting Xros Heart as it travels between Zones. Despite lacking a Xros Loader, he participates directly in battle by applying his kendo skills to the Star Sword. His knowledge of machinery also proves useful, allowing him to repair Ballistamon. Although his rivalry with Taiki persists, he increasingly acts as a dependable companion who helps protect both the humans and their Digimon allies.

In Shinobi Zone, Zenjirou attempts to make Karatenmon laugh to obtain the Code Crown, but his jokes fail. During the subsequent conflict with Musyamon, he accompanies Dorulumon and three red Monitamon on a mission to rescue the captured princess while Taiki and the others defend the village.

Following the battle in Sword Zone, Bagramon sends Zenjirou, Taiki, Akari, and Shoutmon back to the Real World. Their return is interrupted by Tactimon's attack on Tokyo. Zenjirou's friendship, together with Akari's courage, supplies Taiki's Xros Loader with the power to evolve Shoutmon into Omega Shoutmon, who defeats Tactimon.

Zenjirou intends to accompany Taiki back to the Digital World, but Omegamon only has enough energy to transport one human. He therefore remains in the Real World with Akari, entrusting their Digimon friends' rescue to Taiki. After Omegamon uses the last of his power to open the portal, Zenjirou keeps his now-inactive DigiMemory.

When Bagramon activates D5, Zenjirou and Akari follow the voices of Examon and War Greymon's DigiMemories. The legendary Digimon create a protective barrier that prevents the two from being petrified with the other humans. Zenjirou and Akari then locate Taiki, Aonuma Kiriha, Nene, and Amano Yuu, bringing them into the barrier.

Reunited with his companions, Zenjirou supports their final effort to defeat Darkness Bagramon. The combined power of the DigiMemories restores Omegamon and enables the rescue of Shoutmon from the Dark Stone. Zenjirou subsequently joins the other humans in supporting the Final Xros that creates Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode, whose victory ends the war and restores peace to both worlds.

Digimon Xros Wars

Zenjirou accompanies Kudou Taiki and Hinomoto Akari into the Digital World and becomes a member of Xros Heart. Initially without a Xros Loader, he supports the army alongside its Digimon and takes part in its struggle against the Bagra Army. His rivalry with Taiki develops into cooperation as they face the dangers of the Digital World together.

During the assault on Dark Knightmon's fortress, Zenjirou and Akari infiltrate the castle while Aonuma Kiriha distracts the defending army. Kiriha combines Metal Greymon, Dorulumon, and Ballistamon into Rampage Greymon, whose attack provides an opening for the two humans.

Zenjirou later obtains a pale green Xros Loader and becomes a General, with Ballistamon as his Partner Digimon. Their partnership allows Ballistamon to Super Evolve into Atlur Ballistamon, enabling Zenjirou to contribute directly to the allied Generals' strongest attacks.

During the final confrontation with Tactimon, Zenjirou contributes Atlur Ballistamon to the DigiXros that creates Shoutmon EX6, alongside Omega Shoutmon, Zeke Greymon, Yaeger Dorulumon, and Raptor Sparrowmon. Together with Shooting Starmon, their combined power defeats Tactimon.

Zenjirou remains involved in the struggle against Zeed Millenniumon and the Digimon released when its DigiXros is undone. In the final battle against Ultimate Chaosmon, he joins his companions in contributing their Digimon to the Final Xros that creates Shoutmon X7: Superior Mode, helping bring the war to an end.
