Karan Eri is one of the protagonists in Digimon Universe Appli Monsters.
Profile[edit]
A member of the idol group Appliyama 470. Her catchphrase is "I'll punch my way into your heart! I am the centre of the universe, so call me Lord Karan Eri!" (あなたのハートにドッカンパンチ！私こそが宇宙のセンター、花嵐エリ様なんだからん！ Anata no hāto ni dokkanpanchi! Watashi koso ga uchū no sentā, Karan Eri-sama nandaka ran!?).
Etymology[edit]
The name Eri possibly comes from ELIZA, an early computer program. Although the software ELIZA is pronounced "Iraiza" (イライザ) in Japanese, the name "Eliza" can be written as エリザ (Eriza). Also from Ellie, an AI therapist software able to detect depression. The surname Karan means "flower storm".

Eri makes an appearance in of the sub-quests while in the midst of searching for the Seven Code Appmon.
Later on, Eri and Dokamon participate in the Hifumigaoka vs Fujimizaka 4v4 friendly tournament (交流戦, Kōryū-sen) in the Cyber Arena during the special post-game episode. She is defeated by Naoto in the first round.
