Bootmon was born from the Super Boot app created by Katsura Hajime. It has a childlike personality and voice. After the Appli Drivers chase him to protect him from Leviathan, Bootmon is ultimately defeated by Shutmon under the orders of Ozora Yujin.

Bootmon is the Buddy Appmon of Itsuki/Kazuki. To connect to the Cyber Arena, as it was suffering a network outage and they needed to perform a Remote Cyber Arena battle with Kagefumi, Logimon told Kazuki/Itsuki to Applink him with one of Kagefumi's Craftmon copies. However, to their surprise, it instead formed an AppGattai into Bootmon. Kazuki/Itsuki apologised for doing that to Kagefumi's Buddy Appmon, but Kagefumi was fine with it since that was just a copy and Craftmon was glad one of them could help.
Bootmon is also the Buddy Appmon of the rival Itsuki/Kazuki. They open their battle in the High-End GP (EX4) against the player with Bootmon + Sateramon.
