Kibayashi Erena is a minor character in Digimon Universe Appli Monsters.

Etymology[edit]
The name Erena derives from Greek Elena (Ελενα). Possibly from Elena Electronics (エレナ電子 Erena Denshi), a Japanese electronic systems manufacturer. The surname Kibayashi literally translates to "yellow woods".

Digimon Universe Appli Monsters[edit]
In November 2016, Erena participates in a television program alongside Eri and Arisu. In February, auditions are held for an Appliyama 470 concert, and Erena defeats Eri at rock-paper-scissors.
Erena, Eri, and Arisu are guests on a show hosted by Umematsu Takeo, the CEO of L-Corp, on the very day that his replacement by Unryuji Knight is announced. The girls then attend the press conference introducing the new CEO.
In June, the Appliyama 470 popularity polls are held. Erena places 100th and bursts into tears. A few weeks later, Erena, Eri, and Arisu record a show at the L-Corp television studios. Eri introduces the others to their new "manager", Katsura Rei. Erena is particularly annoyed by Rei's behavior, unaware that he is actually on a secret mission to free his brother Hajime, who is being held captive at the company's offices. In August, L-Corp decides to disband Appliyama 470.
