Profile[edit]
Musimon resembles Torajirou in many ways. He is carefree and always eager for new experiences. His catchphrase is "No Musimon, no life!" Musimon and Torajirou form a very close-knit duo.

One day, while Torajirou is walking down the street lost in thought, a drone drops a box containing Musimon's Chip and an Appli Drive. The two spend the day having fun together, but at sunset, Torajirou says goodbye to Musimon, feeling obligated to follow in his family's footsteps and give up on his dreams. Musimon begs him not to abandon him and to listen to the music in his heart, eventually convincing him. From that moment on, Musimon becomes Torajirou's Buddy Appmon, and Torajirou begins posting videos on AppTube under the pseudonym "Astra".
On November 5, Haru and Gatchmon visit Astra after spotting his Appli Drive in one of his videos. When Watchmon disrupts clocks across the city, Musimon materializes for the first time and defeats him, purifying him of the L-Virus. A few days later, Astra enters into competition with another AppTuber who quickly becomes more popular. Determined to win at any cost, Astra loses sight of what made creating videos enjoyable, which saddens Musimon and causes him to leave. Eventually, however, Musimon reminds him of the reason he started making videos in the first place: to have fun. When they confront Dogamon, Astra evolves Musimon into Mediamon through an App Fusion with Recomon.
In December, Musimon participates in the Appmon Ranking Championship in the Cyber Arena and accidentally wins the race. During the final event, he teams up with Perorimon.
On January 14, Astra and Eri battle Tellermon, who has been infected by the virus. Astra asks Eri to lend him Dosukomon's Chip so that Mediamon can perform an Applink, allowing him to defeat and purify Tellermon. A few days later, Astra, Musimon, and the others accompany Haru to his grandfather Den'emon's former laboratory, where they meet Timemon. Timemon reveals the history of Leviathan and Minerva, the AI responsible for the creation of the Appli Drives.
On February 18, Ryūtarou, Astra's father, collapses due to overwork. Although he recovers quickly, Astra is left worried and uncertain about whether he wants to spend two years training at a Zen temple in Kyoto to become the heir to the Asuka teahouse, as his father wishes. Musimon reassures him that he will remain by his side no matter what. Dreammon puts Astra to the test, and he ultimately overcomes his doubts. Thanks to Dreammon, Mediamon is able to evolve into Entermon and defeat Medicmon, who had infected the health-advice app used by Ryūtarou. Astra then explains to his father that he has decided not to move to Kyoto.
