In the manga, Weathermon is infected with the L-Virus, which causes him to create problems by making incorrect weather forecasts. Gatchmon defeats him, thus purifying him of the virus.
Video Games[edit]
An infected Weathermon took over the Water Quality Lab in Mihamakou in the quest "Let's Fix the Water Supply". Even before Kazuki/Itsuki entered its AR Dungeon, it mocked them and proclaimed it'd keep causing chaos for fun. Upon seeing it, Kazuki/Itsuki and Logimon realized it may have been hit by poison gas like Protecmon was. It got purified after being defeated and had no memories of its actions, though it still felt ashamed after learning of them. It then promised to go back to managing the water according to the weather, thanked Kazuki/Itsuki and Logimon, and left. Weathermon would later testify to its actions on Kosomon's secret forums app.
