Kagurazaka Izumi is a minor character in Digimon Universe Appli Monsters.

A member of the idol group Appliyama 470 and one of the 9 GODs, ranking in first place.
Etymology[edit]
The name Izumi possibly comes from Izumo-taisha, one of the most ancient and important Shinto shrines in Japan, possibly alluding to the 9 GODs. The surname Kagurazaka means "Kagura hill". As a name with a religious reference, it may be an allusion to the 9 GODs.

Digimon Universe Appli Monsters[edit]
In March 2016, Eri watches a video of Izumi's concert and is struck by her infectious cheerfulness, to the point that she adopts her as a role model and decides to follow in her footsteps. During the auditions, Izumi helps her overcome her nerves by offering some encouraging advice, and Eri is accepted into Appliyama 470.
In February 2017, the group organizes a large concert featuring the "9 GODs" (the nine most popular idols, including Izumi) and the winner of a special audition. Eri hopes to win so that she can thank Izumi for her help, but she is ultimately not chosen. Nevertheless, she manages to meet Izumi and thank her in person.
In June, the Appliyama 470 popularity elections are held. When the provisional rankings are announced, Izumi is shockingly placed in second place, having been surpassed only by Eri. However, this is actually the result of Calcumon rigging the votes. After Calcumon's defeat, Izumi returns to first place. In August, however, L-Corp decides to disband Appliyama 470.
