The Net Ocean (ネットの海, Netto no Umi) is the digital world in which the Appmon live. It is a physical manifestation of the Internet, formed from the data and computer networks of the Real World.
Description[edit]
The Net Ocean resembles an immense ocean composed of data. Countless islands float across its uppermost layer, each corresponding to what humans perceive as an Internet server. The islands are connected by pathways through which information travels across the network, and different species of Appmon inhabit the servers associated with their respective applications.
The Net Ocean is divided into three principal layers based on the structure of the World Wide Web: the Surface Web, the Deep Web and the Dark Web. The Surface Web forms its uppermost and most readily accessible region, while the Deep Web lies beneath it. The Dark Web occupies its deepest level and serves as the domain of the super artificial intelligence Leviathan.[1]
Although humans ordinarily perceive only the services and information produced by the Net Ocean, the effects of events occurring within it can extend into the Real World. AR-Fields occupy an intermediate space between the two worlds and allow Appmon to be materialized without directly exposing either the Net Ocean or the Real World to the consequences of their battles.

Surface Web[edit]
The Surface Web is the uppermost layer of the Net Ocean. It resembles a vast open sea dotted with floating islands, which represent the servers of the Internet and provide habitats for the Appmon. Data travels between these islands along interconnected routes.
Deep Web[edit]
The Deep Web lies beneath the Surface Web. The two layers are connected through the gate at the Dante Gate Entrance, which can be opened by Dantemon after the seven Seven Code Appmon have been gathered.[2]
One of the locations within the Deep Web is Cyber Kowloon, a vast digital city inhabited by Appmon and controlled by Leviathan. Its inhabitants conceal their identities beneath masks and robes, while dangerous Worms roam the city.

The Dark Web is the deepest layer of the Net Ocean and the domain in which Leviathan resides.

Navimon explains the structure of the Net Ocean to Shinkai Haru, Karan Eri and Asuka Torajirou, describing the Surface Web as its upper layer and the Dark Web as its deepest region.[1]
To reach Leviathan, the Appli Drivers collect the seven Seven Code Appmon and summon Dantemon at the Dante Gate Entrance. Dantemon opens the gate connecting the Surface Web to the Deep Web, allowing them to enter Cyber Kowloon.[2]
