Digimon Adventure[edit]
A Mega Seadramon was a servant of Vamdemon. When Kido Jo, Takaishi Takeru and Patamon tried to enter Odaiba through Vamdemon's fog barrier, they were attacked by Mega Seadramon. Jo's Gomamon evolved to Ikkakumon, but Mega Seadramon attacked them and defeated Ikkakumon. Takeru was in danger of drowning as he fell off Ikkakumon's back. Jo saved him and soon his Crest of Sincerity glowed, allowing Gomamon to evolve to Zudomon. In his Perfect form, it was finally able to defeat Mega Seadramon, allowing them to enter Odaiba.
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
In "Submarimon's Escape from the Bottom of the Sea", the same Mega Seadramon is controlled by an Evil Spiral. It attacks and traps the Chosen Children inside of an underwater oil platform and waits for their oxygen to run out. They sneak Hida Iori out in a one-man escape pod. He returns with Kido Jo, his Ikkakumon and a Whamon. Ikkakumon fights with Mega Seadramon, but Mega Seadramon has the upper hand. However, when Iori accesses the Digimental of Sincerity that had been hidden in the platform, he armor evolves his Armadimon to Submarimon. Working together, Ikkakumon and Submarimon destroyed the Evil Spiral, freeing Mega Seadramon.
In "Assault on Black War Greymon" the same Mega Seadramon helps the Chosen Children by recruiting several Rukamon and helping them defend a Holy Stone from Black War Greymon in the ocean. Despite their effort, the stone is still destroyed.
Digimon Adventure:[edit]
While Yagami Taichi, Ishida Yamato, Leomon, and their Digimon partners were battling Waru Seadramon, it called for help, and summoned a Mega Seadramon to aid it. The other Chosen Children then arrived with their partners, and both Waru Seadramon and Mega Seadramon were destroyed by Garudamon.

Mega Seadramon appears as an obtainable Perfect-level Data type Digimon.
Mega Seadramon, along with Herakle Kabuterimon and Hououmon, are the only obtainable Perfect Digimon that are never seen as NPCs in the game, so the only way to witness a Mega Seadramon in the game is to evolve your Digimon into one. Mega Seadramon has also a boss variant in the game, being Waru Seadramon, which serves as a member of Orgemon's gang.
Seadramon, Garurumon, Whamon, Coelamon and Shellmon all can evolve into Mega Seadramon, in order to evolve into Mega Seadramon, your Digimon must meet the following criteria:
- At least 4000 MP, 500 Offense, 400 Defense and 400 Brains stat requirements
- Less than 5 Care Mistakes
- A Weight between 45 to 55g
- Bonus Conditions: Don't battle at all and have at least more than 40 techniques mastered.
Mega Seadramon's evolution item is the Coral Charm which lets any Adult Digimon evolve into Mega Seadramon.

Mega Seadramon is the third opponent of Infinity Tower's Battle Arena. It acts like a machine, and considers the player an intruder and target to be eliminated. It uses the Heavy Flood deck, a Blue/Water deck with 3 attack, 4 defense and 2 evolution speed, which focuses on making the opponent discard their hand.
Mega Seadramon's also an obtainable Perfect-level Blue/Water card whose stats are:
- HP: 1870
- DP: 40
- +P: 20
- Circle attack: 650
- Triangle attack: 360
- X attack: 0, Circle Counter
- Support Ability: Counter Circle attacks (you attack second).

Mega Seadramon is an obtainable Digimon which is evolved from Airdramon, Growmon, Kabuterimon, or Seadramon, and can evolve to Marin Angemon. It can also be obtained as a collectible card. Its card is part of the Mega Digimons (メガデジモンズ Mega Dejimonzu) set.

As Kido Jo and Takaishi Takeru tried to get back to Odaiba on Ikkakumon in Episode 46, "All-Out Assault! The Odaiba Fog!", they were suddenly attacked by Mega Seadramon. Ikkakumon was defeated by the Perfect-level, causing Takeru to nearly fall off his back, though Jo managed to rescue him, at the cost of falling into the sea himself. Jo's sacrifice to protect his promise to Takaishi Natsuko, Takeru's mother, resonated with his Crest of Sincerity, causing Ikkakumon to Super Evolve into Zudomon for the first time, who then saved Jo.
Mega Seadramon is the 51st obligatory boss of the game, fighting Gomamon and Patamon in Episode 46, "All-Out Assault! The Odaiba Fog!". For the battle, as in the anime, Gomamon will evolve for the first time into Zudomon for no SP cost and remain in the form for the battle. It can deal multiple hits and Shock to one enemy with Thunder Javelin and Maelstrom, or deal multiple hits and Break to one enemy with Shimetsukeru.
Mega Seadramon appear as random encounters starting from Episode 51, "The Raging King of the Seas! Metal Seadramon".
Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]
Mega Seadramon is the guardian of the Submerged Ruins Memorial Stella. It faced Mikagura Mirei and Angewomon, who it accused of having meddled with the Memorial Stella. Mirei said that they both had the same objective, to protect the Memorial Stella, as Angewomon took Mega Seadramon out with a Heaven's Arrow. She then explained to the fallen guardian that they weren't to blame for the Memorial Stella shutting down but she had no choice but to fight if it got in their way. Mega Seadramon then got back up, to Mirei's surprise. Angewomon asked Taiga to help them and they both teamed up to defeat Mega Seadramon once again. It then left, angered at being beaten by humans.
Taiga can then talk to Mega Seadramon again. It explains it didn't have the energy to go back to the Village of Beginnings after Taiga brought it back to its senses so it asks Taiga for some fish, and after eating enough, it returns to the Village and teaches Taiga the Waterfall skill. Afterwards, it sends Taiga a mail with a Graduate Cap accessory it found in its shirt pocket. However, it doesn't last long there, after learning from Taiga there's a new master in its former territory, it goes back to it, feeling like it's about to evolve. This feeling is quickly proven true, as it is a Metal Seadramon during its next appearance.
