It repeatedly absorbs all the data on the Network in order to evolve and grow larger, and is depleting the Digital World to the brink of destruction. A Diablomon that has absorbed a lot of data becomes convinced that it is an all-knowing and all-powerful being, and it takes pleasure in destruction and slaughter. However, when this Digimon congregates in great numbers, its raison d'être is made clear; as that ultimate goal is to hijack a military computer and try to destroy the Real World as well with a nuclear strike, this is a terrifying Digimon. Its Special Move is firing a powerful shot of destructive energy from its chest-cannon (Catastrophe Cannon).

Digimon Adventure: Our War Game![edit]

Diablomon is the final evolution of a Kuramon that hatched from a Digitama originating on the internet. It evolves into this form when Yagami Taichi's War Greymon and Ishida Yamato's Metal Garurumon come to exterminate it. In this form, it begins copying itself rapidly, hacks into the Pentagon's computer systems and launches a Peacekeeper nuclear missile, and challenges the Chosen Children to a "game" in which they must find and kill the one copy that is holding the clock that will disarm the missile's fuse before the missile detonates.

Although it and its copies easily overwhelm and severely wound War Greymon and Metal Garurumon, they turn the tides against it when they fuse into Omegamon and effortlessly wipe out all but one of the Diablomon. While Omegamon initially does not have the speed to target the final Diablomon due to its swiftness, Izumi Kōshirō turns the tides against it when he forwards it all of the emails of support that the Chosen Children had been sent, slowing its processing speed to a crawl and enabling Omegamon to destroy both it and the fuse clock just in time to stop the detonation.

Digimon Adventure 02[edit]

In "Shurimon's Hurricane", Inoue Miyako mentions that she was one of the email senders during the Diablomon fight in the spring of 2000.

Digimon Adventure 02: Diablomon Strikes Back[edit]

Three years after its original defeat, Diablomon returns. It seeks revenge against Yagami Taichi and Ishida Yamato, and initiates a plan to spread its Kuramon into the Real World en masse by email while also leaking personal information and photographs about the Chosen Children.

Taichi, Yamato, Agumon and Gabumon re-enter the internet to hunt it down, and it and its hordes of Kuramon face off against Omegamon for the second time. Although Omegamon easily destroys it again with the assistance of Angemon and Angewomon, Inoue Miyako's opening of gates as a tactic to assist them plays into Diablomon's hands, as it enables even more of its Kuramon to escape to the Real World, where they all eventually fuse together into an Armagemon.

Digimon Tamers[edit]

In "Evolutionary Radiance: Shining Evolution", three Diablomons are among the new Ultimate-level Digimon who evolve when Culumon uses its Shining Evolution. They are created from the fusion of a horde of Chrysalimon who, only moments before, had been attacking Impmon. The Diablomons travel to the Four Holy Beasts' domain to assist them in the fight against the D-Reaper.

Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time[edit]

In "All Will Be Revealed Now! The Secret of the Digimon Hunt!", a giant Diablomon is the final form of a Kuramon copied by Quartzmon, who converts the city into DigiQuartz. When it evolves from Infermon, it easily overpowers all of the Digimon Hunters' Digimon and captures Xros Up Arresterdramon (Astamon), but Shoutmon X7 destroys it. Afterward, when Quartzmon reveals itself to the Digimon Hunters, it briefly takes Diablomon's form.

Digimon Universe Appli Monsters[edit]

In "Legendary Battle!? Gatchmon VS Agumon!" , Diablomon is mentioned as being a boss in the Digimon Universe video game that Shinkai Haru once played. Haru says that defeating Diablomon "only" took him 150 tries.

Digimon Adventure tri.[edit]

In "Our Future" , following the destruction of Ordinemon and the foiling of Yggdrasill's plan, the Mysterious Man offhandedly mentions Diablomon to himself as one of several possibilities for evil Digimon who could be used in Yggdrasill's next plan for conquest.

Digimon Adventure: Anode Tamer & Cathode Tamer[edit]

Diablomon is a Ultimate level Variable Digimon. Its Variable Move, Yami no Chikara, manipulates all enemies' stats to reduce their EP value to 0 (making them hungry) and maximize their UP value (making them need to use the Toilet). It costs 48 VP.

The Diablomon Variable can be learned in the post-game by the combination of Piemon and either one of Meramon and V-dramon.

Digimon World 2[edit]

Diablomon is an obtainable Digimon. Evolves from Okuwamon (20+ DP).

Digimon Adventure 02: Tag Tamers[edit]

Tag Tamers begins with a cutscene in which Akiyama Ryo and Ichijouji Ken witness the battle between the Chosen Children and Diablomon from Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! The next day, they are recruited by Gennai, Agumon and V-mon to stop what appears to be a copy of Diablomon after its consumption of data has laid waste to the Digital World. However, once Ryo and V-mon defeat it, Millenniumon reveals that it was just a pawn in its plan to lure Ryo back into the Digital World.

The Diablomon copy is the first boss of the game.

Digimon Adventure 02: D1 Tamers[edit]

Digimon World: Digital Card Arena[edit]

Diablomon appears as a card. It can be obtained through special fusion, by fusing an Infermon card with a Digitamamon card. Since the Ultimate level is not present in this game, the Diablomon card is categorized as Perfect.

A NPC Diablomon appears in Infinity Tower's Battle Cafe after Sage Tower's second Battle Arena is cleared. Upon being talked to, it tells the player that it wants to play a new game, where the player must defeat it or the world will end.

Diablomon is the fourth opponent of Infinity Tower's fourth and fifth Battle Arenas, being the final opponent in the former as well. Before the first fight, it points out how the game is fun but the player is out of time. Diablomon plays the Time Bomb Deck (時限爆弾デック Jigenbakudan dekku; Dub: Time Bomb Deck), a Black/Darkness deck with 5 attack, 4 defense and 3 speed. It is a self-destruction deck powerful enough to destroy planets. Upon being defeated, it is in disbelief that it did not win, but it decides to start a new game soon and asks the player to play it too. Afterwards, the Battle Arena closes down once again.

While not mentioned during the Battle Arena, in the Battle Cafe after clearing the fourth Battle Arena, Infermon and Diablomon will occupy the same slot and switch between themselves, indicating that they are different evolutionary forms of the same individual Digimon.

Digimon Adventure[edit]

Diablomon evolved from Infermon after facing War Greymon and Metal Garurumon in Episode 65, "Our War Game, Middle". It then attacked Patamon and Tentomon so they wouldn't evolve. Angered by how hurt Patamon got, Yagami Taichi and Ishida Yamato challenged Diablomon. However, Taichi made his computer freeze, which cut his connection to the fight and made War Greymon stop moving. Episode 66, "Our War Game, End", when it started working again, it was too late, War Greymon and Metal Garurumon had both been beaten by Diablomon. Diablomon then sent Izumi Koshiro another e-mail: "who's got the clock?", before copying itself over and over, and a number appeared on-screen. Koshiro got an e-mail from a Taiwanese student, saying that thirty minutes ago, an American base had launched a missile, which he knew was Diablomon's work even if they thought it was due to a computer bug. Taichi and Koshiro realized the number was when the missile would hit its destination. No one knew where the missile, Peace Keeper, was going, and it would explode in nine minutes. Taichi didn't know how they'd defeat all the Diablomon, Koshiro added that nuclear missiles wouldn't explode if the fuse in them failed to activate, and if Diablomon was playing a game with them, then only one of them had the clock. Defeating that one should stop the missile, but Taichi didn't know how they'd find it, and Koshiro said the only choice was to take them out one at a time, even if it took too long. War Greymon and Metal Garurumon refused to give up, Koshiro sent them Diablomon's address. They arrived at said address, only to find an overwhelming amount of Diablomon, Koshiro counting 8000, then 16000 as they kept multiplying. All Diablomon opened fire on the Partner Digimon. Takeru realized they were moving oddly, and Koshiro that the massive amount of mails they received were taking up processing speed, reducing the Digimon's response time. Koshiro tried to stop the mails but couldn't, they had only 5 minutes left. Taichi and Yamato went into the Internet and joined up with their beaten Partner Digimon. Through their feelings, and those of the mails they received, War Greymon and Metal Garurumon fused together into Omegamon, who easily cleared all but one of the Diablomon with his Grey Sword and Garuru Cannon. The last Diablomon quickly ran around, making it impossible to hit, as it surpassed them in power and response time. With only 30 seconds left, Koshiro redirected all of the e-mails to Diablomon's address to slow it down and allow Omegamon to properly face it.

Diablomon is the 77th obligatory boss of the game, fighting Omegamon at the end of Episode 66, "Our War Game, End". As in the anime, War Greymon and Metal Garurumon will fuse before the battle and stay as Omegamon for no SP cost. It can deal multiple hits with Catastrophe Cannon, deal damage with Tentacle Bug, or deal damage, Poison, and lower attack and defense with Paradise Lost. It can take two actions and heal 1000 HP per turn thanks to its Continuous Action and Auto Heal Ω support abilities. After being defeated, it drops the Infinite SP DigiPiece, which nullifies SP consumption for the user.

At the last second, Omegamon destroyed Diablomon with a cut from the Grey Sword.

After the protagonists reunited in Episode 74, "Everyone Unite! The Final Battle", a quake suddenly hit the Digital Dungeon, followed by the appearance of two Diablomon and a Keramon.

Three Diablomon serve as the final bosses of the optional Digital Dungeon: η, where they fight the Chosen Children together.
